Geez, lots of well wishes.  Well this year wasn't my year.  Maybe got a little excited about resupplying at the Hot Springs and got a little fast and loose on that marbely descent.  Hitched a ride to the hospital in Salida, where the Dr. said, "It looks like you've become one with the Colorado Trail,"  as he dug said trail out of my arm and then "approximated" my arm back together.  It was an awesome experience up until that point.  Thanks to Stefan and everyone else that has a hand in putting this together, and the CT foundation for maintaining such a brutal ribbon through the Rockies.  Hopefully I'll be able to make it back out next year and give her another go.

I think Lee Blackwell is in his early 50s also, but I think Marshall beats him by a few years. Not sure though.

Max Morris thinks he might have missed a turn near BV, said he may be DQed but is pushing on. Keep on trucking, Max.

looks like jason is making some big decisions...

hope he's alright.

Seems like he is off-route, right? That would not be good to get DQed for missing that small section.

On my laptop screen the blue lines and the red lines are never together.  I think it has to due to screen or viewing size as when I spend my day at work watching, (not true if my boss reads this) the lines are overtop of each other.  Maybe that is the same for some others.

In any event, looks like he's hunkering down in Silverton. Hopefully, he's just regaining his bearings and nothing serious is wrong.

Re: Jason. It looks like he took the road to Middleton, the dirt road between Middle Mtn and Galena Mtn. There is a point at the bottom of the valley there and in Middleton.

Light rain in Silverton right now: http://www.wunderground.com/US/CO/Silverton/KDRO.html

CTR Racers,
For anyone who makes it into Durango tonight (Thursday)...I am on the phone with Owen and he's at the Days End Motel room 131. If you need a place to stay knock on his door (no matter what time it is) you have a warm floor to crash on. Days End Motel 2202 Main Ave. It is north of downtown.

Be sure to tell Owen that that was an awesome race and that we all enjoyed and marveled at watching it.

Sorry, Folks, I was out at the final Thursday Night Time Trail so here’s the calls that came in while I was out!

Tegan Davis called but the call was choppy. Steven Garrett’s Mom called to wish him well. And we have another cut call. Whoever it is they were headed towards Gunnison so they apparently had a problem. Does anyone know who this caller could be?

KP,
I will be sure to pass that along to Owen!

Also, a big thanks to everyone for the kind words following his ride on the CTR thread. It is nice to see such a supportive and dedicated group of people.

I head out eeeaaaarly tomorrow to meet him.

Wishing all of the rest of the riders well with finishing. I am sure Owen will want to hear about everyone's adventures when we return from camping on Monday. Until then...

Hey Babes,  NO asterisks this time. We admire anyone who can partake in this adventure. It's so demanding of body and mind. Congrats to one and all who participated regardless of your finish for you've accomplished your "Impossible Dream". dad

We have a call from Doug Johnson. He made it in this morning. His time appears to be 4:20:47! Stefan also made it in at 4:23:22! Incredible riding!

You know what I'm also impressed with is that you posted the last mtbcast last night at midnight then, probably, first thing this morning you posted the next update.  Good coverage!

Natalie - take good care of Ownen - can't wait to hear his story and FYI, KP is my brother in law in VA. I think he is inspired to do the CTR next year Wink
