I spent two afternoons down in Georgia scouting out the first 40 miles of the route ... it's EPIC !!!
At first, I wondered if the "56,000 feet of climbing over 350 miles" was a bit of an overstatement. Let's just say I no longer have any doubts.
The route is filled with creek crossings, rocks, ruts, mud, loose gravel, logs, sticks, slow climbs and descents that will eat your lunch if you're not careful. Heck, there's even a creek that IS the road !!! The course has LOTS of intersecting trails and roads that will have you reaching for your cues and GPS quite often.
Good luck everyone ...
