Jeff:
They are Ayup lights.  They are really nice.  I don't have any, but I spent 24 hours chasing a guy with some last October.  http://www.ayup-lights.com/

Indeed.

I've had the endurance kit for a few years now. Probably won't be on the bike for the TD due to the charging aspect.

Bear spray. I'm on the fence.

I can't decide, but I am curious about abotaining it. Do you wait to get it in Canada or do you put it in your checked baggage? Can you even take it on a plane at all?

Rob:
I am a rookie, but didn't plan on taking bear spray.  I have been in bear country many times.  IMHO, if a bear is close enough to use bear spray, I made a mistake much further up my bear defense scheme.

Plus, bear spray is only good, if you have it in our cold'lil hand at the time the bear is in our face.

Can't take bear spray on a plane. Not in checked bags either. Gotta buy it in Banff.

Here's mine! Weight is 38 lbs, 11 oz. There are a few things I left out (ACA maps, extra batteries, some first aid stuff). The weight of these added items should be more than offset by a lighter, tubeless wheelset that I'll begin using within the next week or so.

So far I'm loving the setup. My only regret is that I must have miscommunicated one key feature I wanted my Revelate bags to include. The seatbag doesn't have a keg pocket, which I was really looking forward to utilizing while partying along the route with my buddies. I'm still going to try and figure out a way to make it work, but I may have to leave the quarter barrel at home and actually race. I was really looking forward to showing up ill prepared, disrespecting the route, and generally ruining the race for everybody else. Oh well, there's always 2012...  headbang

Why a keg when you can just buy a 6-pack hanger! Easier to recharge, and it looks cool when you stop at one of the numerous strip joints I hope are dotting the route (being careful not to overwhelm them, of course.)   icon_biggrin

Nice that you don't need a bulky sleep system as you can just ride from VIP room to VIP room. Probably gonna get pricey though,  but you gotta do what you can to finish. Moving to an all liquid food system is clever too. No need to carry a filter or Steripen. Clever strategy.

I sense another form of divide racing a brewing, Tour De Bauchery?

We could use it as a fundraiser for that little-known charitable group Doctors Without Morals.

I think this has been partly covered but I still find it unclear. With the huge field this year, are there going to be enough spot units for everyone. Is it better for racers to buy their own or depend on the "organizers"?

Bring your own. Speaking just for myself, with the long(ish) 2-4 day training rides that have been on the plate, there is no way in Heck I'd be without one right now. If you have been doing those types of rides without one, you're a braver person than me. Cheesy

Also, pony up for the rescue insurance. You don't want to know how much backwoods rescue will cost if you have to foot the bill.

Matt lee seemed to indicate that the "old" td track on topofusion was "certified" official in Feb in the thread here.

http://www.bikepacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=1666.0

But then I believe there are two small changes and then a bigger one in the gila.

I'm hoping Scott feels like updating a fresh GPX file, if not my plan is to take the aca gpx and add in the silver city re-route as I think that's the only change from the ACA, (I could be wrong altogether here).
