Are the narratives only north to south like the maps? I was under the impression that there was a NoBo set, but I may have misread something.

Domino's in Atlantic City?

http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=18005916082696605869&hl=en&ved=0CAoQ2QY&sa=X&ei=tJK7TcvYHZbstAPB4ZSrDw

Is this for real?  I am calling in the morning.

Edit:

I think this is just a labeling mistake.  I think I asked at the bar in atl city about it and they gave me a confused look, not sure though, I was pretty out of it that evening.  I called and the number is disconnected.

Afterwards I realized you can get nearly everything off USPS.com and it's normally official and current.  But it was cool to call some places on route, especially the tiny ones.  I made some edits to the original.

I've been wondering about any river/stream crossings with all this extra snow melt. A question for the veterans is this a possible issue, were there any dodgy crossings in the "low" snow years?

Here is a Stan's question:

This past week, I had a slow leaker on my front tire and Stan's wouldn't seal it.  After taking the tire off, Stan's had turned into a yellowish liquid.  There wasn't any of the latex left in the liquid.  The Stan's was only about 1 week old.  I had just finished a pretty long weekend out in the hill country of Central and West Texas, where it was in the 90's during the day.

Has anyone seen this before?   Is this the issue with Stan's in high temperatures I have heard of?

That's what happens when Stan's dries out. It can happen in high heat or over long periods of time.

There hasn't been any word yet.

Does anybody have or know where I can get the definitive list of changes that the TD will be using in leu of the ACA maps? I can't find the list of course deviations.

I have the updated cues. I am referring to the deviations that TD is using this year. I know that there is a deviation to take advantage of a sweet single track section and I believe there are others but I'm not seeing anywhere that they are all listed in one spot....

I just got the newest Map#6 and it looks like the 2nd page is incorrect.  It's still showing the old route north of Silver City but the other side, page 1, shows that you're on the 15 north of Silver City (not east).  I.e., page 1 and 2 contradict each other.  Not a problem for the SoBo'ers, because you'll already be in Silver City before you check flip over to page 2, but NoBo'ers take note!

Make sure you shake the Stans real well before you pour some in. I don't think you got much latex. Also, a tablespoon of glitter adds a bit more seal power to the Stans. I plan to change mine and add new tires in about a week, and use a bit more Stans than I would for a day race wheel.

Brush mountain ranch posted some pics on facebook.  Definitely a fair amount of snow.  I believe the lodge sits at 7400, not sure exactly where all the photos are though.

That's nothin' compared to what's up above on Watershed Divide!

Tour starts five weeks today!  Over in the UK we have barely had any rain in weeks, and quite a few forest fires around the country.  No chance to practice in snow....

Hello fellow TDR'rs - a friend of mine reports:

"I am a ranger at Glacier National Park and we are FULL of snow. Usually we peak out in April, but we are still getting significant snow build up into May with very little or no melting in the areas above 5500 ft . 7000 ft has 133 inches of snow pack. Do not know how this translates into the rest of your route, but, I would stay out of Glacier if at all possible. We will be lucky to have the Going-To-The-Sun Road open my July 1. Also, Avalanches are an issue as very little of the top snow has loosened yet to come down. We are looking for a significant flooding issue this May-June esp if we get any kind of major rain event. Hopefully, this helps out a little."

I'm looking into ski attachments.

See yawl in 34 days. Cheers !!
