 Yup moving on.

Has any one seen the new ultra size rice crispy snack. That thing looks to weigh about 5lbs, saw one at the local gas station and thought it could fuel the gluten free amongst us for days at a time.

What is everyones favorite road food?

Just got confirmation that my highest todo on the bucket list is a go! I'm extremely excited and humbled to take on the journey along the divide route. It seem like such a small feat after reading about Scott and Eszter's Journey this summer, but I know it will not be. Excited to ride my bike for a few weeks, explore, and meet new friends!

AB Folder, message received. (insert salute here)
You are now bordering on Toby like fanaticism with regards to bear information. I am suitable worried and have taken on board the excellent information from all of the links you have posted. I sincerely thank you for the information.
I understand that you are worried about the bears as well as concentrating the gaze of officialdom on the TD  but I think we are suitably warned now.
Lets talk about tyres or dyno lights or how much our toothbrush weighs for a change........

flyboy, speaking of dyno hubs, i've just picked up my SON dyno hub/stansFlow front wheel for my Fargo.  I'm looking for placement of devices on aerobars.  I'm using cateye endure, etrex 30 and edelux light.  How about posting pictures of set ups.  Also, talk to me about charging devices with usb plugs, what's working?

gotchile - i have a shimano dyno - was on my fargo now on my krampus. i have the usbwerk for charging a lime fuel battery or my exposure diablo light, as well as topping off the iPhone or running the garmin.

my exposure revo light is on its way back from the UK for warranty repair, when it gets back i'll be building a switch setup that diverts current from the light to the usbwerk (or all off) using this 3d printed housing that fits on my steerer tube.

for me, GPS rides on the stem, light on the jones loop. i may or may not run aero bars... have mounted them but just don't need them for 90% of my local riding (they will go on for a TD attempt at some point in the future...) - but i plan on making a bridge that connects the 2 aero arms and putting the gps or light up there.

(spot will ride elsewhere, put it on the bars temporarily)

bmike, thanks for the response, and the photos.  I have the stock woodchipper bars. i like where you have the gps, forward on the stem, I'll try it.  No spot at this point, but not too concerned about it at this time.

I had the woodchipper on my Fargo. I used a problem solvers mount to get my light up above my stuff sack and harness.

Wondering if this is my official entry?  Well, whatever I need to do I'm definitely down for Tour Divide 2015.

Love the jones. But I don't have a Fargo any more. Moved to a Krampus and put a Rohloff on it. Dyno up front.

You CAN just show up, but LOI are typically sent after the Winter Solstice. Somewhere in this thread, there's a link to a GoogleDocs SS so that Christopher can keep track of people for purposes of Cordillera stories.

I put a few thoughts together on how I've used my SPDyno, Revolution USB, K-lites setup.

Been talked about before, but here it is again.
Hydraulic or mechanical? I am more familiar with mechanical, but from what I understand hydraulic is nearly set and forget (I also am new to disc brakes in general, UNDERBIKE FOREVER!)

I saw plenty of both out there this year. I went with hydraulic Shimano XT's and had zero issues.

I have Avid Elixir 5's on my trail bike.  Your mileage may vary, but in my experience, these brakes need to be bled every few hundred miles.  Avid BB7's (mechanical) on my Fargo.  No issues so far.
