18 June 2016 will start the collective departure of the second edition of Liguria Mountain Divide, the unsupported Ultraendurance Trail that Jay Petervary helped to shape and benchmarked in 2014 in 104 hours.
The route roughly follows the hiking trail of Alta Via dei Monti Liguri avoiding the most unrideable parts.
You will face 530 km and nearly 20.000 mt of elevation on the mountains facing the Ligurian Sea, from east to west, from sea level to the top of the ridge in a beautiful and historical region of North Italy.
Bikepacking this real mtb route you will have to ride your bike on gravel roads, mountain tracks, singletrack, with brutal climbs and technical downhills, with long stretches of portage, without any outside help.
You will be rewarded with some incredible Views and panoramas and the best italian food in the little villages you will cross on your route: have real italian Cappuccino, Pasta, and the very unique Focaccia ligure to feed your effort to the end.
