Thank you for all your work on the route! Myself and another guy are touring northbound on the 750 route starting next week Thursday with a scheduled finish of April 7. Keeping fingers crossed on lots of snow melting between now and when we hit northern AZ!

Good luck and safe journeys. Looking forward to your report.

hey there, everybody

my name is hanoch, from ISRAEL, and i'm coming to race this year's AZT 750.
i am not new to the bikepacking ultra endurance scene (holding the record for the HLC in israel), but i have a few questions regarding the AZTR.

first- where can i find the GPX files for the route?
second- how do i get to the start point of the 750? it only says "mexican border line" on the website... i'm pretty sure it's a rather long border line...

do i get by car to the start of the 300, and then ride to the start of the 750? or there's a road and a meeting point to the 750?

thanks- it's going to be epic!

The GPX files are located on the website at https://aztrail.home.blog/route-gpx/, and can take a shuttle to the start.  Home Grown Mountain Bike Tours is one company that shuttles.  You can find information on their events page.  http://homegrownmtb.com/events/2019-04/.  You sign up, then they send you a link to a waiver and then payment information.  They have shuttles that go from Tucson or from Picketpost (the end of the 300).

I have always been intrigued by the HLC. I look forward to meeting you at the starting line (somewhere along the Mexican border line)  Smiley

UPDATE: I had to make a couple behind the scenes updates to the route files. There was a v2 in the header of the v3 files causing some confusion and the time/data values needed to get stripped to enable apps like RideWithGPS to see the track as one big file. The route(s) themselves have not been altered. If you want peace of mind, grab the file again. My apologies and thanks for being patient while I sort through a few things.

Yikes, 60 signups already as of 9am on the 19th.  Two are early ITTs, so that means 58 of 74 spots are taken.

The tracking map will come live within the next few days.  Sounds like we'll have an early ITT of the 300 by a certain very strong woman.

Going to be a good year on the trail.  Hope the snow keeps melting for 750ers.  Flagstaff area is looking snowy/soupy right now!

What day are you starting?  It's Lael and she is thinking around the 25th of March, so early next week.  I can put you in touch if you think timing could be right.
