Pete got a room at Highjinks ranch, he decided having fun was more important than a finishing time.
Thanks for the update Tim. Pete's no stranger to digging deep on these rides, glad he's enjoying it.

Timon is really cooking out there!! He's now about 4 miles behind Jefe. This next time split will be interesting.
At Kentucky Camp (keep in mind the route is a few miles shorter than in 2014 during Kurt's record run, with most of those miles between Parker Canyon Lake & Kentucky Camp) Kurt's split: 6h 52m Timon's split: 5h 34m Harry Hood's split: 6h 11m
From Kentucky Camp to Colossal Cave: Kurt: 5h 9m Harry: 4h 59m Timon: ?? UPDATE: 4h 20m!!!
Hopefully his tracker pings a spot near Colossal Cave, but who knows.

Timon at the bottom of Redington Rd at 6:50 pm! What a run. I hope he can keep the pace up. It's also been quite a windy day down here he in Tucson.

Timon must have the "drive dot stalkers crazy" setting engaged on his spot lol.

He shaved another hour off the record pace between Colossal Cave & Tucson!! Currently at +3h 7m. Summerhaven will be a key checkpoint IMO. Kurt's time there was: 22h 28m.

I'm happy to see someone out there ripping it and pushing what is possible on the route. Go Timon!
Hoping John will do the data comparison on a Freeman split time or at the Gila. He's got his work cut out for him to finish it up quick: 88 degrees down by the Gila in the afternoon is not optimal!

Timon was still holding about a 3 hour advantage at Summerhaven. I don't think the Oracle time is accurate based on his erratic SPOT pings, I'd guess he's still about +3h as he closes in on Freeman Rd. Meanwhile, Jefe is having a great run himself as he nears Oracle.
Congrats to Pete B. for notching a Sub-3 day finish on the 300.
Katie & the Muffin Man (Mike) are plugging away through the Gila Canyons hopefully before the heat kicks in today.
Julie's off to a great start as well. Ian's fun really gets going today as he'll reach the Highline trail above Pine. Will it be dry enough to ride the good sections??

Some great dot watching this morning. I know the courses are not exactly apples to apples but Timon seems right on pace, or just slightly ahead of Kurt's 2014 pace to Oracle. Jefe really putting it down as well. Congrats Pete on another 300!

+5h at the Gila River checkpoint and that's probably closer to 6. Looks like a Sub-40h finish??

I'm betting he's gonna feel like he has superpowers when that sun isn't beating on him - just in time for that brutal push north of the Gila. This will be fun to watch. GO GO GO

I wonder what is faster... Timon's cadence or the rate that I'm hitting refresh to try to see his next ping Congrats to those who have made it to picketpost today (or are about to). Thanks for the inspiration!
