Can anyone else see any blue dots? I'm in Mexico and wondering if that's the problem.

Go get 'em guys.  Ya'll are at the top of your game right now and just ripping!  So freaking cool to see those levels of fitness get put to use on something like this.  I love it.

Well that took no time to get up Mingus.  Those boyz are flying.

It looks like they are still together - hard to say with the SPOT delays...but for sure they are all close.  They got to the top so fast that they get to do the warmest, longest section of road in the heat of the day.  They will probably find 90F at the Verde, followed by a metric ton of climbing, and then sunset on top of Bill Williams mtn...then it gets cold Wink

Bivvy? I don't think anyone is planning on sleeping nor did they bring anything to sleep in/on.

Ah, I figured that they would maybe do the 30 min-1 hr powernap thing. Even then, your still right probably no need for a bivvy bag.

I think we have a little gap forming on the descent into the Verde. It is small, but it looks like Kurt is ahead of Scott and Aaron.

Maybe the difference is water.  I know there is a little spring slightly off-route just in front of where AA/SM dots lie.

They will all catch each other at the Verde where they will need to get water...85 degrees for the climb out of the Verde Valley. Not as hot as I expected, but still a little toasty.

You had it blazing hot when you blitzed the route, still amazed by that ride.

We will definitely find out who has got the legs in the climb to the top of Bill Williams.  That's far enough from Sedona that any residual fatigue will surface in these hammerheads Wink

10 minutes at the Verde River...tossed in tablets and continue to ride. Impressive. It is son beautiful and cool under that bridge. Shame to pass it up in favor of hot, shadless riding Sad

Now that change in distance between Kurt and Scott/Aaron is really easy to see. Kurt is pulling away on the climb out of the verde right now (3:30 pm Thrs). Looks like a 2mi gap.

The Verde should be timed for Saturday mid day.  There is always someone down there hanging out with a cooler full of beers.

And...groupo compacto.  Kurt threw the first jab.  Scott and Aaron responded with a left hook.

Man, this is almost more fun than watching the races with 10, 20 or 70 people!  Good Times.
