KMC will be Saturday the 13th or 20th of June. Haven't decided yet, can be swayed by opinions. Harris and Donkey have veto power if they choose to exercise it.
Btw, this year will feature a new, special option to keep the veterans honest.

Thanks Dave. I added KMC.
I'm thinking that we follow the guidelines for the GDR's ultra race records. Meaning: anything longer than 100 miles is good (e.g. KTR and KMC), no lap events, but especially multi-day stuff that requires bikepacking.
There must be more multi-day stuff out there. What are we forgetting?

Just had the heads up about an 8day race in the Spiti valley in the Indian Himalays. 21st July - 3rd August, with collection form Delhi on the 19th and return on the 2nd. All catering / kit transport / backup being handled by the great guys at HASTPA. The race starts and finishes and ends in Manali which is a pretty good place to chill out. Oh, and the prize fund is 1,000,000 rupees (£12,500GBP!) over the 4 catagories (solo men, solo women, Intl team, National team) Details will be at http://www.mtbhimachal.com/ in the next few days. I raced the Hercules MB Himachal in 2007 and I have a write up here: http://mountain-biking.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=2374439%3ABlogPost%3A3341 so as its the same guys running it it should be a great event. No connection except I want to race in it! SSP

The link for the GLR is not working. Where can I find more info about the route? It interests me.

Also here: http://www.bikepacking.net/routes/grand-loop/The GLR was hosted on the GDR site, and since a new site is under construction, it went away. I will inquire as to the status of the site (and date).

Yup. I got that email today too. I'll check it out and get it on the calendar and perhaps under routes. Thanks.

You should post this on the AZT 300 thread so more people will see it. Thanks.
