Found on another forum (ADKs specific).

Interesting for us northeast riders.

Very intriguing.  I did a nice 300m loop in the ADK this summer, very curious to see where the route will go.  Do you know who is designing it?

Hey Rick,

I found that on an ADK forum I check in on every once in awhile - I don't know who is setting it up - but I'm going to PM the gent who posted the link.
Curious how they route - I've done some color rides - road, mixed terrain, dirt - through there 3-4 times. Very cool place - but they'll have to route around wilderness. That could get interesting.

Here is the route we ended up doing.  A little more paved road than I wanted, but it did involve a serious single track in the middle of the night so we got some adventure in.

Thats a good looking route. Agreed on the pavement part. I've done 2-3 thru rides from here to family in the Utica area. Twice on my IF rando bike (solo doubles, good fun - with some dirt mixed in) - and once on my Fargo as an overnight. That was a good ride - did Moose River Plains. Really wanted to connect Woodhull Lake to Atwell - but had the trip cut 1 day short due to being tied up with work before I left - I didnt' want to get 20-30 miles into nowhere and have to bushwhack or backtrack out.

Where did you hit the single track?

There's so much potential over there, but you end up getting hemmed in by water and / or wilderness.
I have some ideas for bike / raft trips - need to save some $$ for a packraft next year.

The bottom of the webpage lists the authors as:   Michael A. Intrabartola / Michele Drozd 2015
Google helps with the rest.

Probably a fun route... but it'll be mostly pavement and dirt roads (nothing wrong with that).

The real way to experience the Adirondacks is on foot on the unmaintained trail High Peaks.

I cut my adventuring teeth in the Adirondack High Peaks so am rather fond of that area.

Hi all,

Mikey Intrabartola here... I'm the one putting this thing together!
Glad to see people are getting excited about the route- I hope we have a great turnout for the first running.
Keep your eyes on the website www.theadirondacktrailrace.com for more info as we post it.
The dirt/trail portions will outweigh the pavement, look for a big loop through the Adirondack Park, skirting wilderness areas while still getting a taste of what this area has to offer.

Cheers!
