It looks like Tim is headed out on the trail to pick up the boys?! I see his SPOT out on Picketpost rolling down to Mineral Mountain. Also, Rob looks like he is at the Ripsey Segment, about to drop onto the fast doubletrack before Kelvin-Florence Highway. I imagine that I will be getting a phone call from Max in about 1-2 hours saying that he has finished with (or possibly w/o) Fred. Max has to work tomorrow at 4am!! so he needs to get some  tonight, that is one reason why he left at 3am today. One caveat: I think Tim was going to pick up both Max and Rob. Marshall is coming into Oracle within the hour, possibly a good spot to refill and continue on since he is arriving so early. I would head out and try to attack Antelope Peak in the cooler weathers. Also, tomorrow is supposed to be windy, so he would do himself good by getting more miles in today. Keep rollin' guys!  |

Yep, Tim went out to ride the last singletrack (during the day!!) and see if any finishers needed a ride. I think he's packing a couple extra tall boys too... Kurt, Stefan, Chris and Jefe are all back in Tucson. The stories and laughs are running as thick as the 3-day AZT stink at my place right now.  It sounds like it was epic out there, both the crazy winter conditions and the late night death marching into the finish.  |

Amen to that. All I ever saw on his blog was pictures of his ugly face. Then when I stayed with him before the CTR and went on a ride with him it was like riding with a different person. Same skinny face, but with massive tree trunk quads. Dude is STRONG! |

soo did chris beat chad "new" ss ridgid time? 3:10:00 WOW! It's been fun to watch, but is a little intimidating. I've only ridden a small amount of this stuff, and from the trail that I've seen - I'm thoroughly impressed! Great job guys.  soo yo gonna kill it next year? you did the CDR this is way shorter was nice to see me and me buddy john not the only ones to go out and cheer them on Sat. looking foward to max"s time, he and chad I am sure will have fun with that oooohhh next year gonna do it my self be nice to think it a race but might be a tour time to everybody else (race against myself) |

Based on Tim's return to the finish trailhead, I'd say Max and/or Fred finished at 6pm today at the latest.
Rob is just starting the final climb... one that shambilized most of the guys last night. He should finish around midnight or so.
Marshal is well into the gasline section of Antelope Peak. That should mean that he'll have no problem finishing tomorrow before sunset, taking a nice 10+ hours off his time last year. Very cool.

Just got back home from dropping off Max he finished with Fred at about 8:00 I only waited for about 40 minutes at the old turn off to Alamo. Left the 3 tall boys and a note for Max to reset his spot he got the beer but not the note.
Sounded like he was glad to be done and very happy with a great ride.
Robs ride is waiting I had guessed he would finish around midnight and that looks about right.
Great riding to everyone who finished congrats well done and all that, what a great turn out having the spots changes things a little but what a great spectator sport this has become.

Truly a welcome befitting of any rider that finishes such a hard ride, great job on going out there to support the riders Tim. It makes me proud to see such support for the race here in southern Arizona, especially when so many locals saddle up and drive out the racers to the starting line (Jobie and others), ride out to meet them at the finish line (Tim), go on rides out at Colossal Cave to check on them (Konafamily, Brenden from Siren, and others), put them up in their houses (Scott and Tim), and holla' at them from inside our houses as we watch the SPOTs (all of us here and Tucsonmtb.com, btw, that reminds me, some people do not know there is another thread on Tucsonmtb.com about the racers also). |

hello everyone, This is Jefe, I am chillin' @ Scott and Paula's place, just checked out the following of the race, way cool. What a great event, thanks to Scott for putting the course together, GPS files and all that, letting me stay at his house, show me Bobo's etc etc etc. Very generous, very cool. I can say this is a very very bad ass route, sure it has lots of hike a bike, but do you know of a 300 mile route through mountains, ridges, hills, deserts and towns that does not? I loved it, I was smiling like a guilty kid skipping school to go ride to the river with his friends. So so much fun. Also I have to say that all the racers I got to talk to, ride with etc were all solid good folks. So are those who helped get us down there, supplied water, food, shelter, good people down here in AZ!!! Other than a few monster trucks that almost ran me over on Reddington, and the small militia firing thousands of rounds off there as well, this ride was a great show case for AZ. Gorgeous hills, mountains, sunsets, two rainbows, hawks soaring, cactus blooming, flowers shimmering with fresh raindrops, galloping deer, super fun singletrack, great folks, sun shine. Loved It!!! Sure that storm kicked my ass, sure those ridiculous hike a bikes that went on for hours made me wince, and those cholla that skewered my flesh hurt and all those miles beat me down, BUT WHAT A RIDE!!! Thanks to all, peace Jefe
