I usually dont believe the buddhists but Tripper did help me with just a phone call when my knee went all haywire in 2014 TD. I really started to feel better once I visualized some power and stroke in my knee and not seeing crunchy pain in my head.

Tanner,
I feel for you brother! This will sound a little out there but whenever I am trying to heal from something I try and visualize the actual repair. Pick a visual that works for you. Something like little workers in your blood stream that get carried to your injury and and start putting up brick and mortar on your breaks, and some more little guys that are in there working out and cleaning up inflammation and carrying it away.
If you want to see the little healers in action watch the Cosmos Series on Netflix. The animation shows how the DNA strand has to split so that the cell can split and a little lollipop looking guy comes in and walks the strand and it unzips and then each half replicates its other half making two the cell splits and you have a new cell. Its the degradation of this process that causes death. By simply seeing the workers in your mind your body creates more then it would have, and you can focus the healing if you can see in your mind what needs work.

I know it's a bit late in the game, but my shuttle from the UT border for the 750 just fell through and I'm looking for other options. I'd be glad to pitch in for gas or whatever's needed if you have space, or team up for a shuttle. Ideas also welcome.

A question of ethics... and really really not wanting to not open up the age old cell phones debate again.
Scenario: Approaching a town what is the call (no pun intended) on phoning a restaurant that you've reviewed the menu, learned the hours and stored the number in your phone to make a pick up order?
I'm not travelling with a phone as, well, I never do and it's from Canada anyways but calling ahead sure would save a lot of time. Do people do this? Secondly are burners (prepaid phones) still available in the states?
My memory from 2007 was that Scott was against them, to create a level playing field so a guy didn't have to have one to be competitive. Now that the cell phone has reached saturation and the pay phone has basically disappeared I can't see going without one. I asked Scott a year maybe two ago and he said anything that helps people go faster. There are several cheap options in the pay as you go format, I've had a http://www.tracfone.com/ for years $20 last me about 2 months of normal use. With the new one that has triple minutes, I use it more, texting is basically free as you get triple of all 3 uses with the smart phones. The $20 60 minute card gets you 180 min of talking and 180 individual text messages and 180 megs of out of WiFi data. Anytime your in WiFi your unlimited on data. You can find the phones for as little as $9.99 if all you want is talking.

Thanks again Tim.
Hope I got that right no doubt Scott will chime in if not. It's crazy how much things have changed. From six starters and two finishers the first two years, to over 50 starting and more then half finishing.

Hey Scott M. Could you let us know when we're good to go to sign up for our trackers?
We're one month out now, so.... Trackleaders signup is ready!Remember that tracking is optional, but very cool. We'll have rental Gen3 units and of course you can add your own SPOT, too. Here's the signup: http://trackleaders.com/aztr-signup

Yep, 10th running of the 300, here we are. I don't worry too much about people calling ahead for stuff. Stopping and futzing with your phone wastes time, and for the 300 there aren't that many places you could call ahead for. Some places might not really do a call ahead order. Tim's right, it used to be more of an issue when phones weren't common. Now everyone seems to have one. Not that it really gives you much advantage, anyway. During my fastest 300 I never turned my phone on, but I did carry it.... to coordinate a ride back mostly.

Thanks guys. That answers my question. One more decision out of the way...on to the next....

Picket Post is the end of the race for those on the 300. Couple of miles south of Superior, AZ off the 60.
