Holy cow water on molino that's great news.
I Rode thru Colossal Cave today and saw some of the thru hikers you spoke of. Saw 3 within 10 miles so I assume there are quite a few out there. Trail seems to be in great condition. Lots of sharp stuff routing you on to go faster. Miss the desert life. Even heard rumor or showers in SV area.

In January, the water at Beehive well was fine, I just filtered it out of the spigot that feeds the tank. There's also good water in a tank at the abandoned Ripsey Ranch in a wash about 10 miles north of Freeman, and a little west off trail. I believe this is private, so emergency only, and don't camp there. If there's no water at Freeman, getting from Beehive to Ripsey Wash spring is a long haul, so load up.
The section before Beehive Well is so sweet! Ridgetop running on fairly vague trail.

Bncrshr, I’ve checked splits over the past few years and a decent time is 6hrs, though like you last year, I was so slow, with the heat a lot of people took that split in 8-12hrs. It was harsh, though this year is looking like a 15 degree Temp advantage over last year, shoot for 6!

Looking for a last minute place to crash for the night. Catching a shuttle with Sunday cycles to the start tomorrow and need a place to sleep in PHX for me and my bike. Thanks! -Jens ( I'm a AZTR rookie from Butte Montana, take pity on me!) 805 fourFive ate 7757

I think it's a one bar type of situation, wander around to get a little better. But it does more or less work at the TH.

Also, reminder that a group of us will be doing an easy ride at Starr Pass tonight. Leaving from 5 at our house, or 530ish at the trailhead.
Burritos and pre-race banter at ~7pm at Seis.
Drop me a note or post here if you're going to join for the ride, so we know to look for you.
