I'm 300 first timer on the fence still. Trying to arrange transport from Flagstaff. What condition is the final stretch of road to the start? Is it ok for a passenger car?

Ok Thanks! Looked closer at the sat images, it's paved all the way on HW 83 and then dirt to the trailhead, bumpy half mile is no biggie |

Just a FYI the spigot at palisades on mt.lemmon is broken, and the ranger has no time frame for when it will be fixed!

I believe so, I was up there before everything was open back in 2014. I remember being absolutely freezing cold... it was a nice place to warm up. |

How far off route is it to drop into Summerhaven? The spigot at the top was always a nice mental check point before starting on Oracle. Might get fixed in time.

I'm flying into Tucson Wednesday, renting a car at the airport and driving to a motel in Sierra Vista to assemble bike. It's then a 30 mile ride to the start of the 750 which is a nice shake down distance. |

Options, head north to the Wave trail head, this is a popular spot that people have to get permits to hike into. Super scenic the Wave attracts lots of outdoorsy types who have in the past given rides to AZT bikepackers. Or head south on dirt to the main highway heading east to Lee's Ferry. Assuming the north rim is still closed, before May 15, very lite traffic. Several resorts for food and then one could ride/hitchbike back to Flagstaff. Tim |

I heard Rhino's grandma runs a rickshaw service from the state line to Page. If she's not there when you arrive, just wait around a couple hours... |
