A very moving story. Glad you were able to write about it. Just curious if you were recovering from a recent bout of mono or some other infection, which causes the spleen to balloon and be susceptible to rupture? The half-full perspective: without a spleen, you are now that much lighter and will ride faster.

Thanks! I was thinking about that payback when things got tough out there. Thanks again for contacting Rich for me in Superior so I could get my phone back, and I'm definitely glad you enjoyed the call-in's. It was a fun time cheering for Cassi coming in with you at Picket Post.

And congratulations to Rich!!! dream4est and I were bouncing txt's back and forth all night last night while watching Rich make his run for Utah, it was awesome to watch. I finally fell asleep about 2:30am and woke up about 6am and saw on the tracker he had finished an hour or so before. Great job Rich, it was fun leapfrogging back and forth with you during the race and great to be able to share some laughs with you along the way.

Congrats Rich Wolf on wrapping up this year's AZTR!!  Thanks for carrying the Red Lantern with grace.

It's been a good one.  Lots and lots of finishers, and so many stellar performances.  Thanks to everyone that was a part of it, and special thanks to Matthew Lee and Eszter for supporting things on the Trackleaders side, and Joe Polk for the solid work with MTBCast.  I'm always stoked to have that extra dimension of the in-race call-ins.  Thanks to Tim McCabe, John Schilling, (and many others here on the forums) for answering so many questions and supporting the AZT bikepacking community.  Gotta give a shout out to Matt Nelson at ATA, as well, for sending everyone off and supporting the event, not to mention the trail.

Results are up and based on my best available information.  Once again, if you wish to report a more precise finish time, please let me know.  Also I'd appreciate any help with blog links.

Date for 2016 is set: April 15th, tax day!  If you're in the 750 and don't break the men's record, you'll get a full moon out there.
