Just wondering if any one has any problem with there gps messing up there bike computer. When I try and run both the computer just goes nutz doesn't track
speed properly. Right know I'm running a etrex 30 gps and bontrager computer but am going to switch to a cateye computer for the ride.

I haven't had it happen with a GPS and a wireless computer, but have had it happen with wireless computer and a handlebar light. Wireless computers are very susceptible to RF interference so it wouldn't surprise me that a GPS would send it a little loopy. Running a wired computer might be a guaranteed fix.

I wouldn't think a GPS would have any effect on it, because a GPS is a receiver and not a transmitter.  I tried setting my bike computer up inside, and couldn't get it to work.  I was out on a ride a few days later, and tried it again, and it worked perfectly.  Got home and again, nothing.  After going through this a couple of times, a (dim) light clicked and I unplugged my wireless router and it worked fine.

Yup, what he said.

Were you running any cadence or HR devices with the etrex? Might have caused additional interference. Proximity might also cause some sheilding issues, experiment with relocating the bonty computer closer with better line of sight to speed transmitter.

Wired computers maybe old skool, but they can add a lot of reliability to signal, they rock.
