I`ll chime in a tad bit on litter. Most of us will inadvertently lose or drop items. Everyone should pick up some items. Even the lead rider.
We should get a lost and found page here. I still have a Nike glove from 07. Anybody find my data book in 08? I was sure thirsty that last 70 miles without it. See yall in Denver.

All chat should use the hashtag convention so that our conversation is
searchable #CTR3, it can be placed anywhere in the message and easily
forwarded and referenced by all twitter users. "tweeples" or my preferred
"twiggas"!

What are these words trying to tell me?

I'm just hoping there's a pay phone in Copper so I can call my wife with an update.

I feel old.

The gas station has a great selection of ice cream and a pay phone outside.

Hey all,

Unfortunately, I will not be able to race this year.  I have too many logistical problems that can't be solved, mainly time off from work.  It's a total bummer but ya know it could be a lot worse, right?  Good luck to everyone trying to tackle this monster and thanks to everyone involved in organizing this.  I can't wait to watch the drama unfold.  Have fun, be safe!

Tim Graczyk

Thanks for the heads up Tim.

Tracker's up!  Not all racers have been added yet, so don't worry if your name is missing.  It'll get finalized on Saturday.  Thanks Scott and Matthew!

Awesome.  That's the clincher - I'm leaving my flip-flops at home...

Hey, I thought you were starting from Durango today?

Damn, I thought the air was too thin for clouds to form up there.  Summer snow + O2 deprivation?  It'll be a nice respite from this oxygenated 110F out my front door.
