Tough luck both of you.  Enjoy your well earned beverages.

It looks like there are going to be a lot of wet riders coming into Breck.  It will be interesting to see who/how many press on over the 10-mile range.

I see a bunch of people have gotten over Georgia Pass, there is some well earned beverages at the top of there too. Rode segment 6 as an out and back Saturday, and took a peek in the cooler and it was well stocked. On the way back over Georgia pass was so tempted to take one of the cokes but didn't. Go racers!
Loved that trail, noticed a portion of CDT passes along this, from Georgia Pass down. In fact there were signs of both respective trails (CDT & Colorado Trail markers)on the same trees. In one instance someone took the trouble of crossing out the Colorado trail and writing in CDT. Anyways do the divide racers run this section of trail? It was actually a rocky section of trail by most peoples standards, I had 2.5" tires on and was just imagining a divide rig going down that.

Looks like Kevin Thomas last years winner, is out too. He has gone to Breck. He has had a rough season with stomach problems all year. JC said he wasn't stoked on racing

Here are several pics from this morning.  It was still a bit dark and we couldn't shoot fast enough.

Todd Johnson is out. I picked him up on Kenosha after some stomach issues. His light and fast experiment didn't work.  He's bummed but will be back.  Best of luck to all of those still on course.

Biggest storm I have seen in quite a while right now in Leadville.  No sleep when the house is shaking!  I don't think it's affecting racers yet, but I am sure anyone up high is seeing all the lightning cracks and there have been hundreds!  Not the most inspiring thing to see on the first night of the CTR.  Keep it steady out there!

Wow, Ethan made it to the Janet's Cabin area in less than 18 hours!  I wonder if Jesse Jakomait dropped his spot and is up front with Ethan...

Looks like most of the pack is staying uncannily dry right now - man, I sure hope that continues throughout the night.

Bummed for TJ, but hope he makes his way over to Boulder for some recuperation and fun.

Looks like Dave Pickett-Heaps pulled out a bit ago. Wishing him the best today and over the next few days!

Is Jim Crossland all the way in Buena Vista already? Cool to see him on there as I used to go to school and climb with him up in Montana.

Chris Neumann called in from Breckenridge. He’s soaked and sore but otherwise okay.
