Planning on riding the CTR this year?

Have some work / time-off flexibility?

Don't want to ride through a bunch of gnarly thunderstorms?

If this is you, I would highly recommend considering an ITT this year.  Reports I'm getting back are that the CT is already 95% clear of snow and will likely be completely clear before the end of June.  Man, if I were planning on racing it this year, I'd be keeping an eye on the weather for a 5-day stable forecast, and then going for it.   headbang

Of course, there is something to be said for the motivation behind having other people of a like mindset to race against - the whole reason the CTR was started in the first place.  But, whether you are looking to challenge the course record, or are just out to fast tour the course, I highly recommend putting some serious thought into this option - it really has the potential to maximize your enjoyment of traversing the Colorado high country!

Cheers,
Stefan

I'm in! Just booked my flight to Denver last night. Work schedules picked my start date for me. July 18th. Stefan, how do I put my hat in the ring as an official ITT rider?

You just did.   Wink

I'll talk with Scott about getting an ITT tracker page set up.

Will Scott have spot rentals for ITT'ers?  Rode in Silverton this weekend and things were looking DRY!

Hey Stefan,

I just bought my Spot. I'm starting my ITT on the 19th. What do I need to submit to Scott to activate my Spot dot?
