First time AZT 300 rider
«

Hi All,
I am new to bikepacking and I am going to try AZT 300 in 2017. I am experienced backpacker and mountain biker so I figure why not combine the two hobbies I enjoy most. I am looking for some tips on what to pack/bring? Where are the water refills? Any tips on gear would help as well? I have a GPS Magellan Cyclo 315. My goal is 3 or 4 days to complete this ride. Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

I'm lining up for the first time this year as well. The only thing I can do is point you to a starting place.

Click on the linked names in the results. This will take you to blog entries for that persons race for the people who do that kind of thing. It will start you down the rabbit hole. Also if you search here for "AZTR planning" you will find multiple threads for the past years.
