Neil Beltchenko is representing!  Looks like he has a slim lead.

Just tuned into this to see how my friend Clem is getting on and find a former clubmate from ten years ago is running second! Incredible.

Neil did a fantastic ride, there were a few jaws hitting the table in the hotel bar we were in when we heard his finishing time. The problem was we still had 260Km to ride to get to the finish! ( we were getting food not beer)

I managed 5dy2hrs37 which was at the faster end of my target schedule range - tried to get under 5 days but it was just a bit too much to ask as I made a couple of navigation errors at 120Km to go and had to backtrack. A brilliant route. I enjoyed pretty much all of it, there was very little sense of humour failure apart from one gully where the Frenchman behind me learnt some new English expressions! :-)

Here's a report http://bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10148 from one of the front riders who had to scratch very near the end. He did 4dy6hrs last year and was on schedule to go under 4 days.
