Sadly confirming Nik Kinloch as a scratch:

Hey Greg, Nik kinloch here. I am scratching at start of dundonnel section just after ullapool. Can hardly walk with blisters on both feet and a pulled muscle in right foot and generally exhausted.

Phils time is crazy! I only wish I could remember which guy he was as he should, obviously, be wearing the cape of a Super Hero! As I sit here wondering when/if I can get back for attempt No. 2 at some point in the future.

Johan was in the shop (Square Wheels in Strathpeffer) this afternoon. We were sorting him out with new brake pads. He was going to head back to Achnashellach and pick up the trail from there, skipping Fisherfield and Torridon. He is still showing on the tracker though......

Looking at the other pics shows a pretty bleak picture of how my race was going to go. I love the bag piper guy and Andy waving as I'm puttering up the hill.

Does anyone happen to know if Jonathan Edwards is still on the trail or not?

His SPOT hasn't worked since Loch Treig.

So... looks like Jonathan Edwards is back in Tyndrum. As his SPOT was off I'll leave it up to Alan to check his GPS. Hopefully he went the whole way round!

Sadly confirming that Jonathan did not finish the whole route. He had some mechanicals then managed to get across to Ullapool and go from there. He rode with AlanG for a bit and Gary today.

Really enjoyed seeing these pics and all the bike set ups. I thought there would be a lot more mud guards (U.S.= fenders) on bikes. Thx for posting the link.

Big congrats to everyone finished and good luck to everyone still out there.
