2017 Bones to Blue: Truckee-Tahoe Bikepacking Race

I just wanted to make sure this race was on people's radar. It's our inaugural run and we've already got about 20 people signed up.

The route is mostly well-maintained single track and offers amazing views of the Sierras and Lake Tahoe. You can think of it as kind of like a shorter version of the Colorado Trail Race.

It's a loop that is around 250 miles and about 50K feet climbing. Finishing in 72 hours will be tough, but doable. Most people will probably finish in 3-5 days.

The start is on August 20th (Sunday) at 7am in Truckee, CA.

Looking forward to it! Was debating in my mind about 29er hardtail or 29 plus Stache. I think I made my decision last night. The Stache is too fun!

Forest, just had to get this off my chest. I find it interesting you describe it as a shorter version of the CTR when I feel it is a knockoff of the California Sierra Trail Race. Lets be honest here, so far and likely never will somebody be doing a CTR lite for those that can't do the CTR.

I've only met you a few times and you seem to be a great guy, and I'm sure this will be very popular, but you've now single handedly killed off two of three closest races to me. Please don't do a TNCA lite....
