Historically it's been right around the summer solstice, which I like.  However, I'm doing the Bighorn 100 trail run on June 19-20th.  I'm looking for feedback to resolve the conundrum.

-Option 1: late May
-Option 2: the weekend right before or right after
-Option 3: autumn?

I like option 1, still plenty of light, should be good conditions and temps. 

Any thoughts?

(Hairball, Donkey, Lynda, and Capt Kirk have extra weight here)

Option 1: GLR conflict. I'm not sure that matters but I know Kurt and I are planning some revenge there.
Option 2: I'm pretty sure you'd conflict with DH's planned TU move to mid June for before, after might be a good spot for me on the calendar. I know it's one I've been wanting to do.
Option 3: Should be able to find a workable weekend there as well. Coconino will probably draw some of the same people so they probably shouldn't overlap

Just a few thoughts, feel free to disregard as my lame ass hasn't made it down there yet Sad

I'm getting excited about it already:-)

June 5th is likely out for me. There's a local 50k run that I want to do.

Overall....I think may would be great. Get it done nice and early in the season:-)

Late May and June are bad for me, and I'd like to come down for this one.  Late May is Grand Loop, and June is either TU or the San Juan Solstice 50.  October is Coconino, but September?  I like it.

September....hmmmmmmm. Maybe during labor day?

donkey and dave--you should just have an option to run down to the river and back that way you could ditch your running races.
