Ethan Stehley has put down 260 miles in the first 21 hours of the race.  His SPOT shows only 18 minutes of that being NOT moving.  And the long pavement piece is still ahead of him.  Incredibly fast.

Riders are really hammering it out there.  Whether it's 120miles to 260miles in the first 24hrs.  It wasn't exactly a warm night last night.  Nor is it a warm morning, either.  Hope the winds are in everyone's favor.

Yep, there were 120 or 150 or so at the start. Quite a few folks apparently bailed pretty quickly. My understanding is Ira Ryan was fastest at approximately 28 hours. Jan Heine was second at 30.

I ended up dropping any pretensions of racing and slipped into fast touring mode pretty quickly, and finished in 58 hours. I ended up sticking with a couple teammates for the bulk of the ride, which was pleasant but not really in the racing spirit.

Still, as a first bikepacking effort, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I will do more!

This sums up much of the route to me.

I don't know what the question is - but the answer is: Lubrication!
