There is an awesome war memorial on Sargent's mesa just 1000 feet from the trail @38deg 17.522n x 106deg 22.284w.  When I visited it I came across a cattle tank with some kind of water pump on it about 500 feet from the trail.  I believe I found it at 38deg 17.537n x 106deg 22.438w. Have a look on Google Earth. The memorial looks like a triangle. The pond looks like, well, a pond.   (When I physically saw it I unfortunately did not have my gps) Apple
