Where exactly is that 'wall' at on the Comet detour?  Looks to be 7 racers doing the wall tonight

I think the wall they are talking about is a mile or two before actually hitting Comet.  Looking at some topo maps, it looks like it climbs about 1000 feet or so in 1.2 miles.  Ugh!

Looks like Justin may have slipped on Richmond Peak. He just tweeted this:

"Took a 250 foot detour straight DOWN on Richmond Peak. Getting 50lbs+ bike back up a 70 degree snow slope will become a Tour Divide legend."

Yikes. Glad he's safe in Seeley Lake now!

When I zoomed in on his individual track, it would seem to show his drop, but then it subsequently shows another track point above the route.  Is this most likely the place where he slipped?

Wonder what he'll have to say about it on his call-in?

Definitely glad he's OK ... whew !!!

They might be having some weather in the Divide Basin area. Pinedale has a 50% chance of snow tonight. There is a huge cell east of there and others rotating in from the SW. Not a good place to be in a downpour and or lightning since there is nothing to hide under. It is going to be cold out there for sure. Hope Jefe has a good bivy. The mud is bad too. There was a plane crash out there this spring and all the emergency crews and body recovery teams got stranded out there in the mud for a couple days during downpours.

We are having some lightning and heavy rain in NW Wyoming/Idaho area. Paul Spencer and Justin Voss might be getting soaked as they make their way into Tetonia. It is definitely cold out tonight.

Ethan looks to be hold up at the rest area on Hwy 28 section before the South Pass City turn off.

Hey..this worked last year. If anyone meets my hubby Pete Faeth on Father's Day, please wish him Happy Father's Day from his 3 kiddos, Shelby 16, Parker 10, and Tessa 8. They are his biggest fans and super proud of their dad!!

Looks like Mike is 'Oscar Mike'! Would be awesome to see him catch up to some company.

Great to hear Ethan won't be penalised.

Can anyone offer me any reassurance about KC (Kevin Cunniffe)? He/his spot has been in Helena for over a day.  I've heard nothing from him which makes me think/hope he's ok but his spot is not working.

Gotta say, it's kinda cool being on the other side of the world and watching the noctural race moves unfold.

Go Mike, go! He's just 30 miles behind Ethan now. After riding solo almost the whole way since day 2, you've got to wonder how he'll react to catching somebody up.

Go Mike, go! ...

Indeed, I suffer from sleep deprivation (due to online tracking the whole night)
... but that's a good preparation for my TD 2012 next year :-)

Good luck for Mike! ... and all others.

(bye the way, Kurt is moving on at half past three in the night, passing Jefe and taking the lead ...)

You think, Kurt was waking up Jefe: "Come on, let's go?!" :-))

Maybe Jefe is using a "rival movement notifier" app on his iphone

Or a piece of string across the track (tied to his bear bell at one end and his index finger at the other) -that'd work, maybe.

About ten riders stayed the night in Lima. It looks like we have a peloton now.
