I finished my ITT last night at 8:17 pm! I lost my spot in Grants, so I finished up without tracker. Time for some much needed R and R.

One last plea for information on getting the Cordillera V3 in ebook format. Can anyone advise? I'll get a hard copy if I need to, but would prefer the ebook version.

Does anyone know what the conditions are like right now in Southern Colorado and NM?
I've got my parents sorted out (I had to pull out at Steamboat when my mother broke her hip) and I can steal away at the end of next week to finish by riding the last 2000 km from Steamboat. I've got a very limited window of time and if the monsoons have started and the trails are mud I may not be able to do it.

Monsoon season is here. I experienced thunder storms for the last 5 days of my ITT. IMO you will have to plan around the weather to get through the Gila mud. Otherwise plan on getting wet.

I see that Tony Cervati has started an ITT. For those who don't know, Tony attempted the TD last year but had to abandon on the first day when he encountered a bear and fell into the Spray River and nearly drowned. http://type1rider.blogspot.fr/2011/06/statement-from-tony-cervati-statement.htmlTony is also a Type 1 diabetic, so along with Jarral Ryter that makes him the second rider this year with this condition. Go Tony! Tony made it to the US border in two days! And now he is in Boston with a broken ankle? What happened? He was flying!

Iron Mel Liebling called in her finish call. Lots of “Thank You’s” for friends, family, and folks along the trail!

It may take some time before the soft copy is available.

Louis here, I am finally home after my journey and i must say, while i grossly underestimated what would be required of myself to complete this race and my time was not competitive...i did my absolute best and anyone who has a slight bit of interest in trying this race, absolutely should. I faced every emotional demon on this course and constantly confronted myself on a day to day basis in order to keep plugging along and the sensation of personal success i derived from it is immeasurable despite the 30+ days it took me to finish (1030am June9th). congrats to everyone who took a stab at this and finished or scratched, it took a lot of courage to even attempt it. As for the people along the route, thank you for making this exactly what it is. the route is beautiful and immense, but the people you meet along the way are the only reason the Tour Divide is worth doing.
A big shout out to Iron Mel Liebling, Tyson Fahrenbruck, James Hodges and Aaron Hershberger as well as a big thanks to Matthew for the killer spaghetti and breakfast burritos and most of all the inspiration and insight that all of these people provided me along the route.

Three calls: Jim Stansbury called in from Salida. He recaps his ride dodging thunderstorms! Tracy Burge called in from Salida. She got her picture taken in Siren Mary’s doll house. Sounds like she’s ready to go after some repairs. She promises to sing on the next call! Dan Haskin called in from outside Grants. He got his mechanical issues solved and fought off the dogs on his way through to Grants. Now he’s on his way to Pie Town!

Does anyone know how Tony Cervati is doing? His spot shows him in Whitefish for almost 3 days. I hope he is having a much better experience than he did last year.

Today I noticed an anamoly on the Trackleaders page that hopefully has a simple explanation. Jon Cox is showing as the 10th rider on the race flow, shows as having the 10th Finishing Place in his stats. The race flow diverges quite a bit to include his trace and doesn't go to final time and distance. His Spot wasn't updating after Del Norte, but he was in the company of riders that finished 28-36 most of the route. My theory is that his last update 20:02:34 in Del Norte was right after Babe the Blue Tandem finished in AW at 20:02:18 in 9th place, thus mistakenly making him 10th. From what I can tell Jon Cox finished on day 26th, in the 32-36th group.
Brings up another Trackleaders issue. Wouldn't it be nice to choose the riders who appear on the Race Flow chart? The first ten riders get the trace. It would be helpful to be able to pick a custom set and see how riders further back along the route "flow out".

I like the idea. i rarely follow the leaders. I take some interest in riders due to some obscure irrational point, a breakdown, where they are from, history..... then i follow them to the end.. nice to compare them to the leaders or others.
