Is joint 3rd allowed?

Yep, if they cross at the same time they will be tied for 3rd and the next rider will be 6th.  Of course, they will have to split the prize money!

Looking at their times over the last few days, it's been a true race to the end between the 3 amigos - i doubt any of them have anything left in the tank! Hat's off to such an amazing ride by all 3.

That last kink in the rod is 5 miles to go. Think the tent and sleeping bags will have been ditched by now.... water bottles any minute now!

So cool to live vicariously through all the riders.  It's really sweet to watch the dots close in on the finish.

We need an Antelope Wells web cam!

They're on another planet. I can't comprehend. And Mr Hall - different dimension.
Massive congratulations to James - just brilliant. And then some. Bloody brilliant.

Just listened to C$'s finish call from the border.  The man is a champ.  Seriously, if he'd made it to Banff, he would have been a top 5 finisher?  On a homemade single-speed with a creaky bottom bracket.  Not to take anything away from the south-bounders, but major kudos to C$ for an exceptional ride!

Yes, what a finish, and yes, there will be a trip for beers & food for the 3 amigos, arranged by MR, with the wonderful help of Lloyd Payne. It is a brilliant result, & we are so proud of JO!

Congratulations to AH! A 'no first attack' treaty would have diminished the performance of all three.
Since they had 4 hrs lead on BP and finishing time is sui generis, they could then as well have taken a room in Silver City, lock it, and hand the key to the hotel owner for 3 hrs.
Probably the ranking corresponds to the breakaway of these nations from the Commonwealth!

it looks like that the Swiss train (RK and SB) is running along the Beverhead original route ...

Yeah, oops on that one.  Looks like they are making their own re-route now along Loco Mountain Rd.

Yeah, I spoke to them at Beaverhead and approved their use of the Snow Lake cutoff. They were blocked by USFS from proceeding south, so it sounds like the North Star Rd closure is no joke.
