Is that all there is?
Summer is over... is there going to be some sort of summary of results, DQ's, penalties, adjustments whatever? Is there a mushroom club we voyeurs are not privy to?
The TD website has listed results up until 2008. Trackleaders has it's robotic listing of track spots which clearly does not take account of the on the ground realities...... ie; finishing order
Feel free to enlighten me........
Actually, the last official results were posted on the TD site in 2010. http://tourdivide.org/2010_TD_ResultsBut 2011, 2012, 2013? Yep, it's a mystery to most.

Thanks Toby, a bit odd but I guess it's just one of those events .... the journey is nine tenths of the holiday. Here is a link to the evening Q & A in Melbourne a few weeks back with Jesse Carlson, Liam Crowley and Hugh Harvey you all might enjoy. I didn't go to it but from accounts 90 peeps attended with a great deal of interest from all. http://goo.gl/V1dAOt

Hey friends, looking for some thoughts on how your TD experience differed (either positively or negatively) from the race as depicted in Ride the Divide.
I've been asked by a local club to do a little 'photos and stories' gig from my race this year before a showing of the documentary and I thought it might be a neat angle to compare and contrast a bit. I don't have an agenda here (not gonna be that guy who's like "oh it's sooo much harder," etc), but I do think there are enough disparities to warrant discussion, even just here among us.
Would love to hear other veterans' thoughts...

Hi Ron, I watched RTD when it was first out, then again a few weeks after getting back from this year's race, just craving the imagery and to be back there somehow. I thought the film simply was their experience and for me it was different in so many ways, it's a long, personal ride with so many ways to race and react. As you'll know. Perhaps it made the race seem less possible than it was, but then I though the race was less possible than I do now all the way until a day or 2 of AW. Maybe some of us just exist out there like that more readily than others and you can't be sure how you'll cope until you're ~2 weeks in or have that rock-bottom day. Interested in what others see as any disparities, or elements they identified with. Matt Lee's connection with the route was something that came across and much of what I went looking for, perhaps my main goal out there was to feel I'd 'lived on the divide' in that way. I certainly found an experience that ran deep, something I appreciate or understand more a few months after the ride than immediately after. The after-effects can be as mountainous as the route.

Hi,
the movie tries to emphasize every aspect of the race but in the end only scratches the surface. I never understood why people are screaming because they are in a bike race. Now I do! "Suffering through challenges" I learned it the hard way. "Difficult going back to the normal life" No, I was never be so happy getting back to my normal life after the race ! But - 10 weeks later I catch myself how I wish being back on the trail again! And this is the first time I understand why people doing the race a second or a third time. It is exactly like James said: "The after-effects can be as mountainous as the route". There is no day where I am not thinking back. Because of the sleep deprivation and the sensory overload I forgot a lot of things. Spots where I've been, people I've met, how the landscape looked like in a special section. After the race I was very sad about it. Now all this lost memories I dig out of the corner of my mind. This is a reward that nothing can compensate.

A short synopsis of TD '13 from the one-and-only Cjell $ -- enjoy! http://cjellmoney.wordpress.com/I have no accurate frame of reference from personal experience, but I have no doubt Cjell "gets it" -- on every level. So happy he graced us with his presence in Maah Daah Hey 100 (#MDH100) Country in mid-August, too!
