Well done Alex [AH] that's tough shit having to waste an hour backtracking at 7.00am in the morning after seven days ... more strength to you!
... not surprising that it are always the same locations where the riders have some tracking issues.

Heli reconn saying Corbin Rd. has 6 washouts, Flathead Rd. basically gone in sections. Will be days until total damage known, but this is truly a huge crisis far beyond GDMBR route viability.
Extremely concerned about anyone on route anywhere in Canada or in the Flathead in US. DK and RK have old dots so hard to say where they are? If anyone knows about the whereabouts of DK and RK or anyone else in region, please post info!!!

Hi, Spoke to Yair's wife, would like to inform that Yair_Nahmias is driving all the way from Whitefish to NY to catch his flight back home. Unfortunately, he had to give up this year promising to come back some time... If he could be added to the scratched list. Good luck to all the riders out there...watching from home! Miss the divide, Zohar Kantor TD2012

Golden Spoke at the WY/CO border?
My guess is that the Golden Spoke will be on the pass near Meaden Peak, south of Brush Mountain Lodge. It is not just a matter of interpolating miles or elevation gain, but also services. MH finds only Brush Mountain Lodge on his way, but CM has Steamboat and Clark as temptations for a pause.

This could be an impediment for the NOBO's. Maybe things will resolve themselves to a small degree in 7 days time? Craziness up there. Hopefully Craig doesn't arrive in Rawlins to find out his home in Calgary is flooded.... Mike H is PUSHING HARD...his efforts last night will allow him to climb Middlewood Hill this AM with minimal heat and wind. Craig will show up there in the heat of the afternoon when it is hot and likely much more windy. That climb is exposed.

Brett Simpson called in from Lima. It sounds like he had a “Ghost Riders in the Sky” moment! Eric Foster called in from Lima and he saw a cow fight! Wassup with the cows out there? http://mtbcast.com/site2/category/td13/

I would expect the North Fork of the Flathead river to be affected similarly to the other rivers in Southern Alberta and southeast BC – will probably take a few days for the surge to reach Columbia Falls (sooner to Polebridge). I'm concerned that the bottom of the connector between the Wigwam and Phillips FSRs might be wiped out completely or the bridge over the Wigwam River will look like this https://twitter.com/running_yc/status/347925012449206272/photo/1 . Those will probably be the first places the Nobo dots run into trouble before they can even get to the Flathead road. Will they be forced to retreat back over Galton?

Craig lives as high on a hill as possible, reasonably near my retired parents who've said they're totally fine, highly unlikely he'll have any flooding.

Craig is starting to reel Mike back in. Down to 46 miles at 11 a.m. It'll be interesting to see if the Craig s extra sleep last night allows him to move on Mike or if Mike can continue late into tonight. I'd love to see them seesawing back and forth until the end.

Don't forget that Stappler will be stopping in Rawlins for supplies etc like Hall did earlier in the day which reduced his lead a bit.

This is a question for the trackleaders.com folks. When I'm looking at a rider's track points, and I click on them, it has data like this:
"Point #590 received at: 08:14:52 AM (MDT) 06/21/13 (1 hours, 31 minutes ago) (7:00:14 since start) 2.40 mi traveled at 14.4 mph"
Is it possible to add a "route mile" field to these trackpoints? I think it would help spectators very much.

This is Craig's sister...our family isn't affected by the flood...We don't live in the flood zone. I feel for all the people who live close to the river. Everything is under water. Downtown is flooded. The Saddledome has water up to the 10th row. I guess it is a good thing the Flames didn't make it to the playoffs...Very sad day

Looks like Max is getting his bike looked at in W. Yellowstone, enough of the SS?? Also, nice to see Brian Steele push off out of Ovando with a brace/cast on his arm!! Keep turning the pedals.

Craig is starting to reel Mike back in. Down to 46 miles at 11 a.m. To understand the significance of gaps on the GDR, you have to know the average speed of the terrain between two riders. There are some monster wind-blown hills between them that deceive.

Adrienne, thanks for confirming what I suspected. Myself & Martin called in briefly 2 years ago with Craig & Manny and I recall a fair bit of climbing to the house. Pleased all well and hope Calgary recovers quickly. It looked a nice city from what I saw at the time.
