If I'm looking at the satellite images right, I think Mike is just gonna wait for C$ at the lodge. It's a good photo op at the very least.

I don't think Mike is thinking about photo ops.

Yeah Mikes track points aren't piling up, so he's likely not been sitting still for over an hour. So most likely they have already passed each other.

I don't buy it. His points have been uber consistent with his Gen3 device all day, and then by coincidence it stops sending we he reaches BML? If his hub stops spinning does his device power down as well? Does he micro-manage his batteries by turning the Spot and other gizmos off at extended stops? My guess is that he's doin' R&R at the lodge. It would be smart move in the long run.
And he could be looking at CS progress from the lodge's web connection, and seeing that CS is still 6 hours back right now, even after MH has presumably been at the lodge for 2 hrs.

Spike! (well, a Blue Dot Spike at least). Perhaps a photo or confirming message will be posted here ...
Impressive riding by both so far. Gotta give 'em due. CS better hurry up, or he's gonna fall short on his wager to C-Mownee.

5:30 on a Friday afternoon, so it must nearly be "beer o clock" for the golden spoke moment. Well done to both of them. They are doing some low flying this year.

I don't buy it. His points have been uber consistent with his Gen3 device all day, and then by coincidence it stops sending we he reaches BML? Gen3's go into an idle mode (i.e stop tracking) after sitting (no vibration) in the same location longer than 30min. We challenged Mike before the race (in jest) to see if he could keep it from timing out. He's been pretty good at it.

Mike's latest tweet was posted 2hrs ago = "Mike Hall @Normally_Human 2h Fed, watered and laundered at Brush Mtn. Wish I could stay but gotta go!" Strange that his tracker hasn't moved in 4hrs

Yeah he's probably moving, funny to think they'd just be slamming bears in the hot tub shooting the shit. His pace is freakish and unbelievable.

"slamming bears in the hot tub" - that's a weird mental image.

Mike has stayed so long at Brush Mountain Lodge that the tent symbol has gone up. Craig is only 90mins away from the lodge. Will Mike still be there when Craig arrives?

okie dokie, folks... a little update...
mike was here for an extended refresher... ate, showered, laundered, and was just about to begin loading out when we realized that cjell wad just up the road.... he stuck around for a quick photo op, (golden spoke planted) and then rolled south...
in the mean time, cjell was here for a refresher as well...showered and laundered and ate and headed north...
they're both looking great...(!)
it is fairly chaotic up here tonight, with a full house of other guests,so i think that Brush Mountain was less respite than usual...nonetheless, it's been a fun evening...
Craig follows shortly...(:
more to come! photos a little later tonight...

Is there any talk of a re-route, just getting plugged back into the forum today.
