Eric Foster called in from Del Norte. He’s dreaming of pie from Pie Town! And Brian Pal called in from Antelope Wells to say he finished! http://mtbcast.com/site2/category/td13/

Here is photographic proof of the finish. You figure out who is who and who was ahead. We had trouble getting them to hit their check in buttons. Jesse Carlsson was there to join in their arrival too. I furnished Cola, not beer. But, they soon had some.

Congratulations to all you amazing guys/galls out there- the ones who have recently crossed the border and even more so to the ones who are working so hard to achieve what you've set to achieve, mile after mile after mile! What a stamina, what an outlook, what a discipline, what a grace and what an inspiration! Thank you! Now, something on a more personal note: while I was stalking my husband's blue dot earlier this evening I came to a totally new appreciation of one of my favourite poems, "Stopping by woods on a snowy evening" by Robert Frost. OK, there are no snowy evenings in Colorado right now, but the verses "The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep" suddenly got a different, even more existential, real-life meaning. Or, is it just me? Good night from Pittsburgh!

Congrats indeed. So cool to watch people close in on the finish. Thinking about what's going through their minds as they finish up a journey that started a lot longer ago than 18 days or whatever. Love the perseverance of everyone. Ridiculous physical and mental stamina. I'm awestruck.

Brian Pal, is my assumption, since he just finished 6th place earlier this evening, approx 4 hours behind the "3amigos"

It's Kerrin Walker, ITT rider.

Well, what a finish! The three amigos did us proud for excitement! The photos are wonderful - proof that JO was actually there (no photos since Banff, & we wondered if his Spot was in an Elk's stomach?!). We are enormously grateful to Lloyd for all he did, it gave us reassurance knowing at least someone could meet them, and his calm voice on the phone was a real tonic. I would also like to thank the organizers of this amazing event for providing the opportunity for people like JO to face personal challenges in this way. The whole experience of even witnessing this event, and the challenges riders overcome, has been really humbling for us - & exciting, too. Lastly, but NOT least, a huge thank you to the forum and members. We have so enjoyed the camaraderie & humour, and learnt a great deal as well. Some of the posts have made us laugh out loud (Mrs NH will be long remembered for her alternative TD13!), & some have really touched us, & we have appreciated the support immensely. So - a huge thank you, and our thoughts & good wishes go out to all of those on the trail to AW - good luck everyone!

That's a perfect quote, Jape. There have been many past riders who have commented on the psychological difficulty of racing along the Divide when they would have preferred to linger at some of the more beautiful places. In the context of this race, "linger" can mean different things; a glance sideways for a leader, a 30-second photo op for someone in mid-pack, or a 5 minute rest break for someone in the rear.

Nick Hutton called in from Santa Fe to say he got a lift forward on the trail due to a mechanical. He’s pulling out of contention but will rejoin the route in Abiquiu and continue. Fred Arden called in from Salida. And Forest Baker called in from near Buckhorn. http://mtbcast.com/site2/category/td13/

Hi All I have been absent from this forum through the whole ride I'm afraid Had an amazing experience, was great to have the chance to ride with Craig and Jesse over the route And great to finish just behind the '3 Amigos' and relieve the cheers and applause from all there Have a quick favour to ask though, for those who haven't finished or who may have seen it I lost my Go-Pro on the section before Hopewell Camp site, haven't got maps to hand to pinpoint exactly but if anyone does pick it up please can you let me know as there is some footage I would love to retrieve Was having a bad day and forgot to clip it back on Thanks in advance if you do, my email is Kerrin.walker@btinternet.com if any one finds it Congratulations to all those who have already finished, for those still enjoying the experience, have fun, peddle well, peddle fast and peddle safe and most of all Enjoy and Smile Cheers Kerrin

Sara Dallman attacks! Looks like she rode past Platoro, passing Ian McNab, who is probably having breakfast there.

I have a bit of a gap, I thought that Dennis Loewen would be here yesterday but seems he stopped in Breck, had Breakfast there and is heading for Hartsel for lunch.
From now on it becomes much more difficult to anticipate arrival times.

Daniel Roberts called in from Steamboat Springs to say he is OUT with a knee issue. And Eric Foster called in from Indian Pass. This call breaks up. http://mtbcast.com/site2/category/td13/

After so many days on the Tour Divide racing solo, some companionship to ride with near the end can truly help to keep one from going insane, plus, three heads are better than one, when and if major decisions need to be made. A good strategy if you are not in cntingency for first place. Alex Harris, I got photos of you just outside of Flagg Ranch, and I took a bunch of pics of the Grand Tetons that wonderful evening, that I'd like to share with you, since you were pedalling your brains out to get to the next lodge for that night, if you even got any sleep... no time for taking pictures then. That was a magical evening after all the weather you rode through for days on end before a little sunshine broke out along with a tail wind.
