Hello,
Launching from Sapporo the Japanese Odyssey will finally start on Sunday, September 13. Riders will have to reach Kagoshima, on Kyushu. They will go solo and unsupported across Japan, over a distance of about 2700 km.
There are 4 mandatory check points, amongst which The Norikura Pass, which is the highest you can go on road in Japan.
But except these check points, each entrant goes its own way. Deciding whether to speed along highways in order to go fast, or to take more mind relaxing and slower one-lane roads. Deciding where, when and how long to stop.
