Ok everybody, I'm setting the date for the TNGA 2011: September 3rd, Labor Day weekend.  The event will begin at 8AM on Saturday morning, September 3rd.

I know it conflicts with the Shenandoah 100 and I personally know people it will cause problems for, but it turns out that I've got conflicting events (or personal obligations) every weekend from August 20th through October 8.  Earlier than that it will be absurdly hot and the weather can get bad in October, not to mention deer season starts October 1st.

Next year I'll coordinate with the directors of the other events and try to make it work out better.

Of course, September 4th is just the group start, you are welcome to ride the route as an independent time trial any time you like.  You don't have to sign a waiver for an ITT, but your time will still "count" towards this year's "standings."

So, mark your calendars, sign up and I hope to see you there.

Ugh, I can't believe I'm this big of an idiot...

The event will start Saturday, September 3rd, not Sunday the 4th as I originally posted.  I updated the original posting to reflect the change.  Sorry.  Hope that still works out for everybody.

Yeah, I've got the same problem. I was thinking of heading down for the Shen100 as I love that race, but TNGA is tempting.

i also love the Shen, but years of riding there this is a nice change for something different. you won't regret missing
shen if you are ready for a change.  thumbsup
