Planning to do the Arrowhead if I can get a start spot. Anybody in Ohio/Northern Kentucky done this race before? I am originally from Northern Wisconsin on Lake Superior, so the extreme cold is not new to me, but I won't have much chance to train in it before the race. I'll be looking for some rides/races a little closer to home that I can test myself and gear on a bit before going up there.
I'm no stranger to riding in snow... I did it daily for years, though it has been awhile. Basically I have all of the elements that make the Arrowhead hard... the cold, snow, and distance/time. I seldom, if ever get to put them all together though, so I'm looking for a prep plan beyond "ride lots" which is how I have approached other types of racing
