Download the cue sheets and waypoints on the TDLP website and you will see where all water sources are located.

I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with way points and cue sheets.

Just trying to plan the ride and have a vague idea about water

Here is a map showing all the locations of the waypoints:  http://www.hillmap.com/m/ag1zfmhpbGxtYXAtaGRychULEghTYXZlZE1hcBiAgICg-8zvCAw

If you have microsoft excel, the cue sheets will show the distances between water sources.  Link to download: https://www.hightail.com/download/UlRRblFPK3hKV01LSk5Vag

If you don't use a GPS, it is not likely you will be able to stay on course. I would not recommend attempting to ride this without a GPS.

Ok folks, Friday was the last call for shuttle and those of you that have sent me your deposit are all confirmed.  Those of you that have not sent me a deposit yet, please do so by end of today.  Just private message me, and then I will send you my paypal email address.

Looks like a little snow tomorrow on Mt. Pinos, but the long term weather outlook looks good (fingers crossed) !!!

Two other pieces of important information:

1)  The deadline to rent a SPOT from Trackleaders.com is this Friday, April 10th.  SPOT rentals will be sent to me and I will give you your SPOT at the start.   The deadline to add your own SPOT to the map is April 13th.

2)  Free parking can be had in Santa Barbara, but it is in short supply and it is unsecure street parking.  Don't leave any valuables in your car.  Below is the free parking that I know of.  Street sweeping occurs Wed and Thurs on these streets so you must move your car before then or get ticketed:

500 and 600 Block of De La Vina St.

600 Block of Bath St.

200 Block of West Cota St.

There also is plenty of paid parking in downtown Santa Barbara that is more secure.  Take your pick:

Just registered. Fingers crossed that there isn't any soul-sucking mud on the route this year.

Erin - how many people have registered this year? Just curious...

Forest, glad you can make it. Do you have any interest in doing some alternate route scouting with me in the Carrizo this year? Haha..

Not many have actually registered yet (including myself), but I am thinking there should be around 15 riders at the start this year.

Shuttle meets at 6 am at the Santa Barbara Train Station!!!

Thanks, but I'll pass on the shuttle and scouting. Smiley

I'm getting dropped at Frazier Park the night before. See you at the starting line...

How technical is the course? Is it too dangerous for night riding?

The techy sections that are not advised to ride at night are Santa Cruz Trail, Camuesa Connector Trail, the Santa Ynez River Trail, and the last 30 miles or so of the Santa Barbara front country.  Allow more time than you think on the last day.  There's a few techy sections between Selby Camp and Highway 166 as well, but they are pretty short sections.

Yeah I tried calling a hotel in Frazier Park this evening but no answer. That might be a better bet because it's right at start. will let you know
