In general, my advice on this stuff is don't worry.  Once you get to Banff, continue checking in at the Y (if you're not staying there) and checking your email and all will undoubtedly be made clear.  If no one contacts you, then you are freed from the fetters of rules and organization and you can ride your own ride!  ;-)
