OK, I just filled out the TD spreadsheet thingy, so I guess that makes it official. (Can't believe it's just shy of 100 people.)
I'm in for the 2013 GD!
See you in Banff,

Here is a 3 minute piece compiled from last years footage of my Canada to Mexico bike race. There are a mere TWO MONTHS until I pedal to the Mexican border again..... So here....a small piece of life on the Tour Divide!!!! http://vimeo.com/user3187776/review/63470579/6d4fad0959

Steven, I had almost forgot that steep HAB climb. Thanks for reinforcing the memory for me. I hope to see you as I NoBo this year.

Sweet video. I guess the replacement freewheel lasted all the way to Mexico? We are both honorary members of the Boulton Creek gang. We also are survivors of the snowy Elk Pass crossing. I'm glade you'er going for it again. I'm sitting this year out but I'm planning for 2014 after I get two new knees.

Any one had any problem with cross signaling between gps and bike wireless computer. I am running a etrex 30 and bontrager computer right now and the computer won't keep accurate speed or distance when they are side by side. I am going to switch to a cateye computer for the ride. Don't know if that will help. I would appreciate any feed back.

I have problems with my spot. Placed on the bar near the etrex 30, my gps don't work. With wireless cyclocomputer i'have Never tried, but I try soon with cateye or sigma sport....

Hi, I've been lurking on this site, hoping to race the TD next year. Where is the list of 2013 participants? All I see on the TD website is information from a couple of years ago. Thanks and good luck to all of you.

I've read elsewhere, on here I think, that the two gps's will conflict. That's why some people put the Spot in a mesh bag on top of their seat bag, or elsewhere removed.

I bought the Gore ones, they are awesome as well. Road in the snow and rain for 4 hours and still had dry feet. Wish I had these last year when my feet were wet and frozen.

I use sealskinz mid thick and I'm happy! If rain don't enter by the up of the sock my feets still dry and hot, even in deep snow! Used for all the winter season with my fat bike!!! I use the gloves too, are perfect, but if is a hard rainy day I prefer to use neoprene gloves and goretex over shoes!

Question for everyone: I emailed the TD site, and haven't heard anything back yet as far as registering a SPOT or anything else for that matter. Has anyone else gotten a reply, or did it just go to my spam folder (likely)?

It looks like I may have tendonitis in my knee...not good. No riding for the past couple of weeks and it's still not better. Really not a great time to be down. Doc appt on Thursday. We'll see how this goes.

That sucks! Have you tried static stretching or foam rolling? This should decrease the tension on the tendon.
