Howdy from Ovando MT, It appears Jim Stansbury was our SOBO caboose on Friday. And we didn't even give him the usual fanfare. These nice guys came thru yesterday June 20, and courtesy of my husband who had shop duty, he took the photos of TD Tourist designates Eric Morton of Utah and Javier Serrano of Texas; while I toiled away on the ranch we manage. Now awaiting the NOBO's. And this is the fastest that all the sobo's have come thru since we started doing this 3 years ago. One week? Seriously? That still shows that the slowest of the racers is averaging 78.5 miles a day. This year is just plain crazy. Happy Summer Solstice. Stay up late and watch the sun set with a bottle of your favorite! Carry On!

No yellows are marked as alternators, even if they have alternated. Have a look at Lisa Downing's track.

The race for 7th is pretty tight as well with 7 riders all pretty close at Wamsutter and Marshall Bird leading the chasing pack. The depth at the top this year is amazing - there's 15 people ahead of last year's second place marker at Atlantic City. Can they all keep this up for the second half of the race? Will there be a come from behind ride like Calvin Decker's last year?

Tiana Tallant is about to finish a Sobo ITT in 9 days according to Trackleaders even following back to a Banff dot, it looks like about 20 days, so isn't that a record time?

Looks like it's actually about 29 days since she was in Banff.....for some reason the clock restarted about 9 days ago for her on her statistics though.

The TD riders that stopped @ Montana High Country lodge on the 20th were in great spirits in spite of some heat and afternoon winds. Eight riders spent the night.

Ian Monteith of Ontario arrived Ovando for just a quick meal but stayed a bit longer. He is now a white dot and thru him the meaning of turning to a white dot finally hit home with me. Not sure he is happy about not being blue anymore.
Eric Morton! Ian got your message. Thanks!
Carry on!

I'm showing Tiana Tallant 10mi from the border, having started 29d 23h ago in Banif. You can knock this out in under 30d Tiana. Super Rookie Ride!

Feel like I'm being treated to not only one of the best TDRs (from a racing standpoint) ever, but one of the best races of any kind in a long time. Great show.

JayP is within minutes of Mike Hall's mythical pace of 2013 as of Hartzel. Just freaking amazing.
Oops, correction: about 7 hours back, my bad. Last time I compared he was 5 hours back.
It's all gonna come down to attrition in New Mexico and the crowned sets a hard mark to beat!

The two previous women winners, Jill Homer and Sara Dallman, look to be ahead of their previous paces.

RE: deviations, DQs, re-routes, relegations, and sundry.
No "official" results have been posted since 2011. Ride with integrity, do your best, finish with pride, and mark the results in your own personal record book.
Best of luck to all!
