Yes. Josh & Val got Ti Fargos for the TD 2014. Josh built/assembled most of both bikes. It's all at Far Out Wanderings. I assume Josh is on the same bike this year. Salsa should be signing them to a sponsor deal.
Wayne
You assumed correctly Wayne. Josh is riding the same frame as last year. He truly loves his Ti Fargo.

Holy hell Josh put the hammer down! 8+ miles ahead. That's a huge gap in such a small amount of time. If he holds this it would be amazing...it's already an amazing ride by all 3 but...yea, Josh putting in this effort would be legendary.

My theory is that he's hitting up Separ to grab all the good junk food before Neil + JayP. You heard it here, first. #kato4president

At the risk of stating the obvious, this is shaping up to be an incredible finish. Wouldn't that be a beautiful statement? The old Salsa beating the new Salsa tour divider.
That would actually be pretty hilarious. But I have to stick to my guns and root for our local boy.

It looked like he rolled straight through. Either that or his stop was ultra quick.

Cripes, I leave my computer for a couple hours and come back to Kato being ahead by over 8 miles.
C'mon Josh! You got this!

With a race this close anything can happen, flat, chain, spill, bonk, ect. I can't imagine how tired these guys are right now. If the winds are favorable, JayP has that road gearing up front once they hit the pavement, anything can happen. But I doubt the winds are favorable.

Let's be honest, all three could have switched bikes at random at any part of this race and the results you see would be the same (barring any BB bad luck).
Kato I think just... rode away just a little bit faster after Silver City. Rock and Roll McDonalds!

Hey! Just curious, but does anyone know of anyone in the local area that might be able to film the finish? Josh's brother is asking for any help that might be available.

2700 miles down, and shaping up to be a velodrome finish. Unbelievable. But far from over. Heat. Grade. Fatigue. Flats. Anything can happen.

I had a good laugh when I saw them all stop at McDonalds. Maybe that's the only gentleman's agreement they had. Seriously though, good on Kato for taking the lead he has.

It looks like JP and Neil picked up the pace. It looks like Josh is around 7.5m ahead now. It's nice that their trackers are updating at the same time

Josh just flew through Separ with enough time to fill up his water bottles and then gone. What will Jay and Neil do - isn't this the last food/water stop apart form the drinks machine at Hachita? (I know the ACA maps put a store in Hachita but many posts seem to say that Separ is the last stop).

Also, while Kato definitely broke away at that point. One can't forget that he was around 10 hours behind Neil for most of the race. Towards the end of Colorado he really picked it up and levelled the field. And then he had a short sleep last night and has kept the pace today. Incredible

No drink machine anymore but a tap on the side of a community building with a hose on it.

It was his breakway from Dylan at hour 178.85 that marked the start of his participation in podium contention.
