I'm eating an entire pie today to celebrate. I always knew my pie-eating tendencies were the source of my own secret power!

Looks like Josh has it. Barring any mishaps. What a race. I feel for Jay and Neil. But at least it didn't come down to a 3 man sprint after 2700 miles. Unless you want to call Neil's "attack" a sprint.

While I am pulling for Josh, I love to see that both Neil and JP have their craniums down and giving everything then have in the tank. Many a race has been lost within sight of the finish due to a mechanical or leg locking cramp and you will never win if you sit up before the race is over. Three great competitors.

Someone has to win this thing and Josh sure had the power at the end. But...I had 2 flats in the last 18 miles into AW when I rode. (Just had to throw that in there to stoke the suspense a bit longer)

Wow. Never saw Josh doing this. I suppose he really is just going at the same pace he has for the last few days. Gaining time on neil and jp. Once josh passed, neil and jp couldn't kick it up a gear to match the pace that Josh was accustomed to. Maybe a simplistic view.
What a fantastic tour divide. I know it's only the winners about to finish, and there are still plenty of competitors out there digging deep and pushing through personal boundrys. I wish you all well.

In 2012, I passed Skinny Aaron after the Work Center, and somehow was able to survive those hills into Silvercity. He crushed me after Hacita though - I just couldn't keep up spinning that fast on my one gear on those flat paved areas. That's OK - he and his parents totally gave me a ride back to civilization, fed me and dealt with how horrible I smelled. I'll never forget how cool that was of you and your folks, buddy!

Now I'm going to start keeping my eye on Seb Dunne, he's getting close to being back on route after his 3 day mechanical. Go Sed!

Maybe less sleep deprivation is the best strategy for winning? I was under the impression that Ollie Whalley was pretty consistant when he broke the record. Very cool http://45.55.173.141/tourdivide15(Time out of the saddle)

This has been a grueling event even for spectators :-)
Yeah. I've been following the TD on Trackleaders for the last 3 or 4 editions, but I've never been glued to it like this year - especially the past couple of days. Great race. Kudos to all the competitors but especially to The Three Amigos for making the race truly exciting to watch.

So glad Seb Dunne is back out pushing it! He came to far to not get back out and get it done!

I want whatever was in Kato's pie at pie town... that third slice did the trick. It's funny how all the talk was about how Josh couldn't sleep early last night and make up the gap today.... and now he has made up that gap but from ahead instead of behind. Amazing effort on everyone's part.

If it wasn't for that last bit of uphill grade (which probably feels like a mountain now) Kato could probably see the finish looks like about 30mins to go now.

What is the total race distance? Trying to figure out exactly how many miles are left for Josh.
