hi folks!
looks like i'll see mike sometime this afternoon...ready as ever for the onslaught!
on another note, anyone have any idea what has happened to "Terry Smith"...?
it looks like he's taking the columbine alternate??
which is a bummer, as i was looking forward to getting his story...(and feeding him some pizza!)

Yeah, bummer for us too Kirsten as a photo would have been nice. I noticed that he has taken the old route 3 times so far, twice on day 1 near Spray Lake and Elkford and then again on Union Pass. (Edit: Looks like he cut South Pass and Atlantic City off too) He must be just doing his own thing as he hasn't been relegated yet(orange dot). But why bother with tracking in the Tour Divide Race if you aren't going to do the race route? His time will be slightly irrelevant.......and half the point of doing the TDR is to stop in at Brush Mtn to see YOU! I hope you are progressing well and feel great. Looking forward to photos of happy riders after their BML experience! Dave H. |

Seems like a lot of trouble to come all this way to NOT do the race. it's still racing what is the official route of an unofficial race? TS or GM or whoever can maintain their anonymity, race the best they are capable of, and have somewhat of a ruler to take into account weather and trail conditions by comparing to the times of the group start racers, whoever it is does not care what the rest of the world thinks, they are on their own personal quest and do not want to share |

i posted photos on the facebook page, but thought i'd let you know here that Mike is looking really great...
pushed up in the heat, and had a shower and some food and a quick nap...and was out ahead of time compared to his last visit!(:

I'm just wondering if anyone has spoken to Mike Hall in the last few days? He's been through Slater and Brush Mtn Lodge right? Any news? I'd love to hear something of how he is, I think he might have lost his voice? Anna (his gf)  |

I love the sheep wagon photos. Here is mine on a fat biking outing on the Conejos last fall. I purchased a CL boat trailer for title and the license plate, took it apart and built it. Being a 2 wheeled version it tracks well on the highway. It is perfect when a frame pack just doesn't meet the comfort demands. I was baking an apple pie when I took the photo.
