Nice work, Angler! Looking forward to more photos of racers and rigs as they make their way south. Calling on locals down route to get on Trackleaders.com to find out when they're coming through, get your cameras out, and post, post post!

Thank you for the pictures, Angler! It's good to see that my husband's ever present smile (Chris Plesko) is still there. Even with the intense training he has put into the race this year, he still smiles like a little kid when he throws his leg over his singlespeed. Every. Single. Time.

3 pm and Dave Stowe of Ontario Canada arrived with a big smile and went to Trixi's for food. He is feeling well, only mechanical was a bad back tire.
A friend called Ovando to inform us that tomorrow is Dave's 52nd birthday. So anybody that sees him then: Wish him the best.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE STOWE!
Also another photo of Pavel and Arthur: Love seeing new friends who rode together for a while, meeting up again.
And yet again Arthur has attempted to leave Ovando on a bum knee to Lincoln and had to turn around with 15 minutes. It wasn't going to work. Hoping for tomorrow morning to get the swelling down. Think good thoughts. This is killing him. And us, to be honest. Hate to see it.
A bunch coming in shortly but I have to go so photos will be posted tomorrow for them and tonight for Dean Anderson of Canada and Thomas Rowntree of Scotland who are on their way to Lincoln.
Carry On!
p.s. weather is changing. Highs 20 degrees cooler into the 50's and rain forecasted starting later tomorrow for the next 3-4 days. It's brutal out there.

I hope I didn't miss posts on these topics but I am wondering if anyone knows about Seb Dunne or Rob Brown. Looks like Rob may have gotten a ride into Helena this morning and Seb seems to be stuck at Holland Lake. I hope Seb just has a spot issue and is still going. He had such bad luck last year with his fork, I was hoping he would make it through without problems this year.
Also loved seeing the pics of Hal Russell, he is one of my favorites and his call-ins are always so positive! Josh's mom is a big fan, Josh jokes that she is rooting for Hal more than Josh. "Green Gloves Guy" looks like he is having a blast as well, does anyone know who he is?
Seb had a slight cold that turned really nasty and Rob got attacked by a dog. He has some really bad looking wounds on his lower legs.

Has anyone seen Guy Martin on the course? What pseudonym is he likely riding under? My guess Greg May.... http://trackleaders.com/tourdivide16I would imagine there will be some photo/ videographers catching up with Guy; some money to be made from his endorsements.

Ever more reason to go stealth. Surprised more riders don't shut their SPOT's off with all this 'spot-stalking'.

I didn't mind it last year as it is a long, lonely race. The only people likely to stalk most of us is another bikepacker or family of one, so the interaction with a friendly face along route was one that I quite enjoyed. Guy on the other hand is probably pretty protective of his privacy these days. I for one would like to see a photo of him out there as "Terry" seems to be setting a good pace so far, though he did have some navigational issues early on.

So what does a ~14 day run look like in terms of total daily stoppage time in towns / resupplying / eating at restaurants, etc?

I was out wandering about on a bit of a three-day bikepacking tour between Canmore and Fernie, and we ended up running into a few of the riders who were sitting near the back of the pack. I kept forgetting to take photos, but ended up with a few. DP! On the road towards Elkford. He mentioned he was David from Arizona, and I didn't put two and two together until he had gone. David S, heading up towards Corbin. David S, into the Flathead Randy John - without a tracker, who was supposed to be riding with Jean A moose wanders away from the road on the train tracks to the left, as Michael R and co drew closer Michael R and his riding companion, whose name I forget, and who doesn't seem to have a tracker.
