Rick Miller finished off his career triple crown around 1am last night for a sub 21-day finish. The man is a badass. I believe he is the oldest finisher so far at 59 years old. I'm not surprised one bit though as this makes him 5 for 5 in bikepacking finishes with AZT 300 and Dixie 200 to go with his impressive AZT 750 and CTR results over the last two summers. So he clicked off a career Triple Crown in three consecutive years. Bravo Rick! Can't wait to hear about your run!

Saw two riders heading out of Separ about an hour and a half ago. Russell Dorobek and David Garcia Galvan. Heavy intermittent rain on us all the way grom Phoenix to Separ and beyond. Black clouds all the way to the North towards the Gila. Probably muddy uo towards Pietown.

An ITT worth watching: Connor O'Leary started from Banff at 5 am, now going up Flathead Pass (160 miles in, at 9 pm). Last year he was running with the big dogs, until injury in Ovando.
Sez target is 14 days...

And once the Race is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure whether the Race is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the Race, you won't be the same person who rode in. That's what the Race is all about.

Howdy from Ovando.
We were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first NOBO Adam Parke of CO this week. We were calculating his average mileage and figured when he would arrive and that I would work the fly shop to make sure to snap his photo. Of all the times for him to rev up the engines and go above his daily average speeding from Helena and making it all the way to Seeley Lake. Adam is you read this, sorry we missed you!
Today 2015 TDR finisher #4 Dylan Taylor stopped by to thank Ovando for it's support and to start off his journey with his wife to bike from Banff back to Ovando so she could see what this is all about. Dylan admitted spot watching this years race was just about killed him. You guys know: that twitching sensation that encompasses your brain when you realize who'd rather be on your bike?
Also was informed our friend from 2015 Connor O'Leary of UT is back ITT'ing it this year; having just left Banff yesterday morning and is already passing mile 277. As he is trying to finish in 2 weeks he isn't on a photo tour. Hope to see Connor this time around and in better spirits.
Hopefully more later! Carry on

if you want to see connor this year i suggest you don't blink. his pace is on a par with mike hall and josh kato up to now, and connor looks like he's had a few hours bivi, it's not showing a bivi on JK's or MH's track up to the point where connor is at currently. so FLINCH above could well be right to say watch out for connor

Would putting up Mike Hall's ghost record be possible. Connor is tearing it up out there.
Thanks!
