More of those in and out of Ovando.
Brian Bergstedt, 60 of OR working on his bike.
Nick Zylkowski 31 of WA, who ran in, had a muffin and blew outta here. Literally. As the winds are now coming out of the west at 25 mph gusts. At least it is moving the South bounders in the right direction.
For those wondering about Mike Kaufman, our Montana boy, looks like he is back with pedal problems.
Stand by more to come!

Next up:
Tyler Ubinger, 38 of WI who arrived right behind Nick and with his crazy Wisconsin co-hort Brett Stepanik, 32 who is a repeat TDR offender. You know they are buds since Tyler wears a hat saying NO BS. Not what you think. He says it means No Brett Stepanik!
Okay that is it for now. More coming in. And the wind is-a-blowin!!!!
What more can we serve you with?

It looked like Ben Steurbaut took a left when he should have gone right, but holy cow, if that's the case, he busted it to make up the time.

Does indeed look like that, he's a couple miles behind Brian Lucido now.

The youngster on the tour has arrived to Ovando. Peter Kraft out of Florida, all of 24 years of age. Youngest so far! Having lunch and then out of here. At least the rain has stopped.

1400 hour Ovando report:
Montana Mike is back at the BCC trying to glue/weld/pray over a pedal problem. He's hoping to still get out of here tonight to make it to Lincoln. So far he is winning the most tenacious, never give up award.
David Langley, 47 of Australia, is the winner so far of the TDR best lambchops award..
Greg Johnson, 40 of BC Canada will be taking a room at the Inn for a few hours to catch up on some sleep. Apparently last night's didn't go so well, when he decided to camp out and left an area of his bivy open allowing for freezing rain to enter. He gets the award thus far, for the best one liner comeback out of the blue.
Looks like a lot of folks are hunkering down in Seeley to lick their weather wounds. But a few still marching on.
Carry on!

1630 hour posting:
Mark Caminiti, 47 out of Utah and a veteran of the TDR arrived for his 3rd time into Ovando. He'll be a tad delayed while working on his pedal assembly.
Paul Lester, 52 of Australia has arrived, is up at Trixi's for a burger then on this way.
Carry on!

Jay P is mouth dropping right now. If he continues with this speed; if he gets into Ovando before 8 pm tonight, he is faster than when Ben arrived at Grand Depart. In-freaking-credible. AND with refresh he just passed two more riders. I think he is going to do it.

Dish Washing Gloves = Classic
I remember Jill Homer calling it Alaskan Gore-Tex. It's heavy to carry but with a thin liner its the only thing that will keep your hands warm on descents.
