> she bailed at Savery/Brush Mtn with [outside support?] mechanical and health issues but decided to head south and do some sightseeing.
It appears she's gone south to ride along with Rickie Cotter.
I met Rickie Cotter and Lee Craigie on route yesterday (Saturday) morning below Platoro. Rickie said she was feeling strong and having fun. I ran into Andrew Stauffer finishing breakfast in Platoro Lodge a liitle later and he called her a rock star. Said she was swimming in the creek and having fun but still crushing the miles. Lee was apparently just out joyriding and seemed in good health and spirits also. Andrew looked a little tired but seems to have got over it and is making some good miles himself.

Gary Johnson is having some serious navigation troubles. Looks like he missed the turn to Brooks Lake, realized it before getting too far and backtracked up the pass and around. Then, at the bottom went back up Togwotee Pass on the pavement, to the Brooks Lake turn and descended back down the pavement.

2 more seem to have missed the turn for the Gold Dust.

I noticed that for the NOBOs too. Most (2 of 3? How many NOBOs remain?) took the optional singletrack heading up the pass, instead of the road. No harm in that though.

Golddust is optional for NoBo.
Nice climb though. Less boring,if slower, than the road.

Does anybody here know why Rickie Cotter's Trackleaders balloon turned orange? There's now questionable status for the two leading women.

Her status says 'Alternated from race route' on Trackleaders. I couldn't see anything, except the alternate around the fire where she alternated, so I' thinking it's a mistake.

Or maybe it's to do with those few sections where she had her tracker off/it had no coverage.

There was some question about missing the Gold Dust Trail near Como. But didn't she go back and ride it? I believe the decision to change a dot orange is well thought out by the organizers, so I don't think it's a mistake.
