Yeah! Go Aaron!! How late in the season is this attempt? Was JP’s record run a few years back this late?

Well, that's it for my 2018 attempt. Canada fried my lungs and my oxygen saturation is down to 80 (from a normal of 97 or 98). No wonder I am sluggish and have no power. Probably shouldn't have even started with the way the smoke was, but you know...Looking for 2019 redemption!

Well that sucks!!? Was wondering how bad the smoke was up there. SW Colorado has been terrible as well. What did you think about the mid-August start?

The smoke up there was terrible! 10+ aqh, and 600 meters visibility. Other than that, many people think this is the best time of year. No snow, warmer nights and fewer bears (if you worry about that) make it a very good time.

It was pretty bad in Fernie a week back and was only going to get worse as the wind blew more smoke in from the US. I checked my oxygen levels each day and was happy to be out of there for a few weeks. The air is going to improve a little with the help of some much needed rain and a good wind from the west soon.
