who will be the front runners?
Aaron Denberg (north bound) and Seb Dunne (south bound) to place, winner?
is there an easily accessible list of riders showing who is a vet and where they come from?

Montana High Country Lodge, your go to stop, located in the Grasshopper Valley 1 mile north of Polaris, Montana wishes all of the 2018 Tour Divide Riders a safe ride all the way to the Antelope Wells or Banff if your doing a NoBo. We put up a new Tour Divide Sign this morning. We'll have the computer on and will be watching the dots pedal our way.

Looks like 7 folks have goal times listed of 15 or 16 days, 4 of them are returning veterans of the race: Bailey Newbrey Gareth Pellas Lewis Ciddor Richard Dunnett Seb Dunne Greg Gleason Jacob Roberts Interesting to look at the rigs posted on www.bikepacking.com. I think Seb, Lewis, Richard, an Jacob each have less on their bikes than I had in my seat bag alone. Speaking of seat bags, check out Chase Medina's seat bag. Wonder what that rides like... My money is on Greg Gleason. Back this year with a full suspension Epic! Lessons learned no doubt

Best of luck to all. Be safe. When you get to southern NM if you encounter an old fool riding the trail who looks like he probably has a revoked driver's license that will probably be me. Stop and say hi and have a cigar on me.

Anyone heard how they are going to route around the Santa Fe National Forest which is currently closed to entry due to fire danger?

Link to Trackleaders: http://trackleaders.com/tourdivide18Very very interesting to see so many folks from Europe...willing to throw down on this. Talk about some serious expenses to attempt to do this.....

Ramdom musings
- Following Greg Gleason, Bailey Newbrey, Kevin Hinton, fellow Iowan Andrew Cohen, Marty Johnson, and Nick Leagan closely for personal reasons. - Following Hal Russell, because Hal Russell. - Following Brian Jett because he's a fellow 2015 GD racer
- Good to see Gary Johnson got his missed turn figured out quickly - Looks like Marty Johnson passed Separ (NOBO) and went back for some reason
Hoping everyone has an awesome, memorable, and honorable race.

Good Morning All! Doing an initial check in prior to the arrival and photographic attempts of the front runners in Ovando Montana. Trying to figure out an arrival window as Mike hall arrived around noon on day two, however not seeing that this year. Anybody who has done this want to make a guess so I can make sure I'm there? Remembering that Richmond Ridge is in the way along with some nasty weather; highs in the 50's and rain starting today thru Mon?
The lead has changed so much between 7 guys it's hard to guess; but it does seem apparent the Aussie, Kiwi, Brit contingency will be in the mix. :-)

Angler, I'd guess that the front runners will be approaching Eureka around 1pm and Whitefish tonight. That should put them to Ovando mid-afternoon Sunday (?). But that is just my best guess.
Remember that Mike's dot didn't go thru Fernie. Plus we expect snow at Red Meadow again. And Richmond, as you stated.
The gravel road from Seeley to Orlando was worked on last year. Any guesses on how that will hold up too the forecasted rain on Sunday? Will it stay firm? Or, turn to mud?
